Historia
Ansley Park is one of Atlanta’s most desirable neighborhoods. But in one mansion, in a teenager’s lavish bedroom, a girl has been savagely murdered. In the hallway, her horrified mother stands amid shattered glass, having killed her daughter’s attacker with her bare hands. Detective Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is here only to do a political favor; the murder site belongs to the Atlanta police. But Trent soon sees something the cops are missing, something in the trail of blood, in a matrix of forensic evidence, and in the eyes of the shell-shocked mother.

Couldn’t put it down!
Revisado: 11-01-23
Excellent! The narrator does an excellent job, reading with such character that you can imagine the story taking place right in front of you. I like that the author gives you an in-depth look of each of the main players. I felt like I knew them personally by the end of the book.

Historia
“The Heron” is the nickname a big-city accountant has attached to himself in his new home near San Diego, where he’s using the alias to avoid a hit man who may be after him. It seems a former client believes that The Heron has skipped town with several million dollars not his own. Don Winslow’s ensuing, entertaining yarn is by turns twisty, dark, and comical as we observe the delicate dance between the pursuer and the pursued.

Great short story with a fun twist
Revisado: 04-08-23
Are just hanging out, doing yardwork or something else. This short story is a great. The plot is not so complicated that you must concentrate on it in order to hear each of the fine details I would recommend this book to anyone who just wants to listen to a little short story.I’m

Best Virgil Flowers book yet.
Revisado: 07-13-21
I’ve been listening to these in order & this is by far the best one yet. Although the case he is investigating is extremely disturbing, the book & performance is outstanding. Eric reads with such reflection in his voice it is like you are there living the story with him. Can’t wait to start Shock Waves!

Historia
Virgil's always been known for having a somewhat active, er, social life, but he's probably not going to be getting too many opportunities for that during his new case. While competing in a fishing tournament in a remote area of northern Minnesota, he gets a call from Lucas Davenport to investigate a murder at a nearby resort.

Historia
Virgil Flowers kicked around for a while before joining the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. First it was the army and the military police, then the police in St. Paul, and finally Lucas Davenport brought him into the BCA, promising him, "We'll only give you the hard stuff." He's been doing the hard stuff for three years now, but never anything like this.

This book kept me on the edge of the seat until the very end of the book. you are not quite sure who Committed the crime, taking you through all twists and turns, leaving you dangling they with several different clothes. I can’t wait to start my next Virgil Flowers novel.

I’m giving this book 5 stars because it kept wanting more. All the twists & turns left you wondering from one chapter to the next. I listen while I’m commuting and there was a couple of times I had to continue after arriving home. The narration was excellent & I will look for this narrator again.
