Historia
In the real world, twenty-one-year-old library sciences student Tina Anderson is invisible and under-appreciated, but in the VR-game Forever Fantasy Online she's Roxxy—the respected leader and main tank of a top-tier raiding guild. Her brother, James Anderson, has a similar problem. IRL he’s a college drop-out struggling under debt, but in FFO he's famous—an explorer known all over the world for doing every quest and collecting the rarest items.

Angry Review of Forever Fantasy Online
Revisado: 06-02-24
In short, there are many other LitRPG books that are better. I am frustrated, angry, and annoyed. I can't even think where I should start the review. I listened to two books before my mind was made up.
Everyone is dumb: All of the characters minus Blyde, Frank, and James are idiots.
I spent half the first book thinking it would improve over time, but it doesn't. It's hard to describe without being wordy, but I'll try. It's as if the co-authors played World of Warcraft as teens, all their friends are Reddit users, and they never developed a functioning friendship with people in a game or in real life with "gamers." There is so much to write about! Arg!
All of the characters share some sort of social anxiety mental disorder. Tina wakes, shares long stories about hating her brother, and gets herself and her friend Blyde up and running as the game world becomes real. Meanwhile, the rest of her guild and guild tryouts are still in pain on the ground. As they're overrun by monsters, Tina is the only one who wants to help the people on the ground instead of leaving them to die.
After Tina gets everyone going, they all think it's still a game and start acting stupid. Even when it's very clear that something is wrong, they still act stupid. A character, knowing full well that death might be terminal, thinks it's fine to kill Tina, so they fight with everyone cheering and thinking it's funny. Because people with strength 100 times that of a pro athlete are burnt out on a 3-hour ruck.
At this point, it's the whole group fighting everything Tina says and acting like rape, murder, and killing are fine. You have members trying to overthrow the leader, Tina. This never stops and only gets worse. No one shows any sign of life skills at all. I find this insane because, as a gamer, I know how many gamers are in the military, in college, doctors, etc. So for a pro, best-of-the-best guild to be nothing but incompetent teens? In a game that lets you have prostitutes and drugs? Right...
I'm running on here. Book two starts with Tina being annoying and crying about hating her family. Everyone in the guild starts acting afraid of her for some unknown reason that the authors decided not to share. People who were fighting next to Tina at the end of the last book and only seconds apart in the timeline are now shaking because she raised her voice to be heard over noisy people. Like a completely normal situation, they're all shaking and acting like the person that's been helping them is about to kill them.
She meets her brother again and starts raging nonstop, trying to take all her anger out on him when she's the problem. Clearly, everyone else is the problem. Rape, murder, torture, all fine in this tale of teens.
I need to stop typing, so I'll leave it at this:
- The characters are stupid, legitimately ignorant, and dumb.
- Tina, taking up half the book, is very unenjoyable. She makes you hate her.
- James acts like a beaten dog and is annoying. "But in FFO he's famous—an explorer known all over the world for doing every quest and collecting the rarest items."
- One of the best guilds and highest-level players are braindead kids.
- This book is toxic and will leave you annoyed and angry.
If you're looking for a well-written LitRPG with likable characters, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This series is a frustrating waste of time and energy.

He's tried to ignore them for too long. But the long-simmering conflict between Montana's holding at Coggeshall and the Night Goblins who also occupy the valley is about to boil over. Usually, goblins aren't anything to write home about: an enemy without much size, intellect, or weaponry. But these goblins? Well, that's just not the case. These are goblins with limitless resources, never-before-seen tactics, and horrifying monsters at their disposal. Worst of all, they don't fear death in the slightest. They just might force a good guy to become what he has always struggled to defeat.

Doesn't use skills or brains
Revisado: 05-12-24
again, the MC is refusing to use skills or resources. At this point it's moved past a trope to ignorance. Maybe the writer has some grand plan but I can't deal with the fact he has a truth tell skill. "Trust no one", in all of the books he is facing constant information leaks. He has skill books and skill point potions that I guess no one will ever use, or more, it'll be the MC in some last ditch attempt to save people from another betrayal because he won't use his skills.
Right now, an army is about to match out of the gate and I'm sure they'll all die. The MC thinking of changing his respawn to a location people will know and just set traps. At this point Paul should fold, because this hand sucks. I can't say for sure which one is the betrayer, what I can say is that anyone in charge of anything should of had a trust skill question and an oath because this horse has been beat. Ignore the gods, Ignore your peers, ignore the problems, items, skills, like WTF are we doing here.

Historia
The most dangerous night of the year is upon Coggeshall. Fiends' Night, when the boundary between Vuldranni and hell is the weakest. And so hell comes out to play. To survive the night, Montana must put his entire holding on lockdown and turn hastily made cave apartments into an actual, inviting home for thousands of Coggeshall residents. Most of whom don't really know or like each other. And all of whom have different ideas of what needs to be done on Fiends' Night.

Why is the MC getting worse?
Revisado: 05-10-24
it's like he goes out of his way to forget anything the gods tell him. Every book has Paul saying "YOU NEED TO LEVEL!", "You have no time", yet he let's everyone control his actions. Nikko has been giving me hard villian vibes for four books. Yet he has a truth skill? Just zone of truth them, if they cry about trust, well, trust goes both ways and a villian would fight an open convo.
everyone keeps expecting the MC to explain every single action he makes but all of them hide everything they're doing. He's a Duke but treated like trash, just zone of truth your circle of friends. because a God telling you "Trust no one" is the biggest clue you could have recieved. It's just getting annoying that he isn't growing as a character.

Historia
We join Montana, recently returned from an impromptu study abroad trip, a bit wiser, a bit broader in perspective, and a lot freaked out by the once-dead person who's currently in his bedroom. Possible zombie sightings aside, he's finally ready to take his job as Duke seriously. And just in time too - not only are the politics of the capital rapidly closing in on Montana's little valley holding, but there are also goblins to negotiate with. Plus, that cult threatening to take the lives of his citizens.

Joe the Ritualist fled Alfheim with the remnants of the Dwarven Oligarchy at his side. Though the hairy warriors number in the tens of thousands, they stand at the brink of extinction; and the new world they landed on isn’t pulling any punches. Jotunheim is a winter wonderland featuring a vast array of monsters: the least of which are hulking lizard-ape Hoardlings, and carnivorous penguins standing a dozen feet tall.

Plot of Swiss Cheese
Revisado: 12-11-22
This book is trash. Errors, time time issues, just random BS. Zero plot development with numerous added holes. The book turned to a trope. So many things directly conflict with the other books.
I wanted to finish it and I hated that I did. I loved the other books and now I want nothing more from this author. Smiles is an idiot. The worst thing was how much Happy built him up. o ly to brake everything writen in every awaken online book. A full twilight zone of Awaken online. "weeks" that could have only been days. Stats that don't reflect capably. you'll notice they left the stat blocks out this round. because you can't write in super saiyan.
no risk reward system, no plot points, just trash. only zombies should continue this.

The great world tree, Yggdrasil, needed a group that could work together to stop a threat that could end reality. Yggdrasil summoned a team of five champions, into a world straight out of fantasy, and remade them into something more. Unfortunately, Virgil was granted almost no skills, and his body was shifted into a reviled Dark Elf. Now, hated by the locals and of little use to the others that can already heal themselves, Virgil was cast aside. Abandoned and alone, Virgil will take on the threat to this world....No matter what ally gets in his way.

The story is frustrating. The main is hated by everyone. Treated like trash and left pointlessly weak. I hated the Shield Hero show and I hate this. It's unpleasant to listen through all the annoying bits to wait for to enjoyment.
This feels like it's a me thing. If you like the show mentioned than this is a great pick and you'll most likely enjoy it.

child rape as a tension point
Revisado: 10-21-22
Nearly every chapter is a reminder of possible torture and rape. The main characters are idiots and one is a murder hobo. The author uses child rape as a tension point to make you gain affection for the idiot murdering psychopath. He gains a little humanity when he stop a little girl being raped after hinting about rape and torture for hours.
Any time the story starts to move, you get reminders that everyone is dead, tortured, raped, and pleding. Some of this the main character did. The story is boring, which is why rape and torture are the only tension points. The characters will anger you throughout the entire book.
At no point do I care about the murder hobo because he now feels bad about his actions. I don't care about the hero because he's also a murder hobo idiot. I hated the past sections because they're all idiots all of the time until someone gets murder raped and the mains go psychopath.
You can also just take a guess and know exactly how the book unfolds. Villian monolog trying to justify why you should forgiven him after he killed everyone, man, wemon, child, pets. Please remind us every chapter that all 7 billion people on earth but were murdered, raped, and tortured, that the main was in the center of it, and why we should now feel bad for his hardships.
