First time I’ve ever started re-listening a book 3 days after I finished it.
Revisado: 09-11-23
I missed the characters so much I started listening to “Crossed Lines” only 3 days after finishing it the first time.
Loved Emma’s cheerful outlook, faith, and optimism, Mitchell’s kindness, restraint, vocabulary, and loyalty, Rose’s no nonsense personality, and “The Book.”
The narrator was perfect for this book! Enjoyed her many voices, clear enunciation, and the emotional depth she added to the characters.
I also appreciated that there were no sexually explicit scenes and no violence! It’s hard to find an engaging, clean story these days.
Thank you for this one!

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Unusual Format
Revisado: 02-02-23
Very unusual format. It’s a series of phone calls, text messages, and email conversations. I enjoyed the story after adjusting to the format. Having two people’s voices for the characters was a very nice change from other Audible book readings. Voices were clear and easy to understand. There was some humor, but I only laughed out loud once. Maybe I am a tough audience. The foul language and the F bombs were totally unnecessary, accounting for the deduction of one star.

Best Series I’ve Read
Revisado: 01-18-23
I read all ten books straight through in the evenings and enjoyed everyone. I rarely can read more than three books in a series before I have to have something different to read for awhile before I return to the series.
The characters reminded me of some of my family members, so while a fantasy, the characters had real life personalities.
I really appreciate not having to skip pages because of graphic sex scenes!!!
While there was tension and some violence, it was not blood and gore or for the sake of sensationalism.
The “boyfriends” were kind, thoughtful, intelligent, and hardworking. Not just “pretty faces.” They put up with a lot!
The family was there for each other even though there was a lot of bickering, snarking, and lying. Oh my, was there an abundance of lying!
It was a fun read and I am sad to not have another book to look forward to.
The narrator did a nice job with the number of characters’ voices
she had to do. She had a pleasant voice, read at a good pace, and was easy to understand.

Best of Series so far in my opinion
Revisado: 11-06-22
Loved Morna’s and Jerry’s story, after getting to know them through all the other books. This last book , #9, had my stomach in knots from tension, a first in all of this series so far.
Thank you for all the work you put into these books! I don’t know what I’ll read when I’ve completed this series. I skip the sex scenes. In my opinion less is better.

Enjoyable Read!
Revisado: 11-10-17
Enjoyed the book very much. Narrator/author had a pleasant voice and seemed more authenic since he wrote the book. Appreciated that he told about cases but left out some of the patient's private information without deminishing the understanding of the case. I have always been interested in medicine, history, (in this book recent history) and Scotland and this book brought them all together.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Enjoyed this story. Narrator was excellent with all characters! Personally I would prefer a female for the adult women's voices.

I found this book because I had just completed reading another book narrated by Fiona Hardingham and searched under her name to find another book narrated by her as I enjoyed the first one so much. NOT dissapointed! Looking for another one of her narrations now. Also very interested in WWI books that are historically correct but not too graphic.
