The power of women

Outstanding work. This woman just share’s her life story of present day oppression of women right here in America. The bravery of this young woman was amazing. Her ability to see the truth of where her life was heading and her ability to sort through a path for her own as well as her son’s freedom. What an inspiration this young woman is to other women who may feel like they’re in a hopeless situation.

Mary Trumps book was a great insight into the pathology

I commend Mary Trump’s candor about her extremely dysfunctional family. Donald Trump was/ is a pathological liar. What a blessing that Mary Trump and her brother escaped the treachery that was the center of Trumps world.
The sad truth is that this deep pathology will always come out. Usually sideways in the most ugly of ways. It is my hope and prayer that the world will finally see Trump and his family as exactly what they are. Just plain old white trash.

Disappointing

I was excited to learn about this topic since I study religions and spirituality. This book seemed to be more about “getting saved” than about the history of fallen angels. I did learn a few things but overall I found it to be extremely preachy. The author points out several times that there is only one Christian point of view to get saved from hell’s fire. He did fail to mention which Christian doctrine was the only way to go. I will rethink buying any more books from this narrow minded author.

Was amazing. As I read it the first time I had to keep going back to the introduction because I really felt like I was reading a Christian book. I had to read it a few times to absorb the wealth of information in this book. I love studying the Jewish Religion and I look forward to read Dr. Johnson’s other books.

Awe inspiring.

I first read the shack in 2010 during a hopeless period of my life. I had broken my back, lost my beloved job, lost all of my friends, had to file for bankruptcy and lost my home. I was single and alone. My children grown and not really available to their mother. I read this book at least five times believing it to be a true story. This book probably kept me from taking my life. Then I realized it was not true I was heartbroken. But my life very slowly began to get better. I watched the movie when it came out. Sometime after watching the movie I realized it was a true story. Because God absolutely can do everything that was in this book. I then bought the audible version and I have listened to this book over and over again. This book has absolutely changed Everything I have ever believed of God and has given me the most loving Poppa. A God that I trust and love today and who loves me as fiercely as I love him.

Corrie’s amazing life

Corrie Ten Boom and her family were/are my heroes. Their story is as relevant today as it was 75 years ago. This should be required reading in High schools. Because if we don’t learn from the past we will repeat it. Racism and antisemitism is as prevalent now as it was in Germany in 1933 through 1945. We must not forget. We must remember that we are all Gods children.

Corrie Ten Boom’s life and story is a beacon of hope and love that can light up a very dark world. Her lessons in life are a warning for us today as well as a light to a better road to tomorrow.
