Historia
Over 1600 years ago, God raised up a man named Patrick to take the Gospel of Christ to the people of Ireland. Seldom in church history has any missionary been blessed with a more fruitful ministry. The preaching of Patrick was used by God to transform many of the Irish people from idol-worshiping pagans into servants of the one true God of Scripture.

I was hoping to share this with my students as it is written for young readers. The beginning of the book follows the main story line of St. Patrick, until he goes to Canterbury (!) for missionary training. Of course the problem with that is St. Augustine wasn't sent by Pope St Gregory until the 7th century, while St Patrick was sent to Ireland by Pope St. Celestine in the 4th century! The author seems to have taken pains to make St. Patrick into a Protestant missionary.
The reader has a good voice but he is so careful to enunciate that it's rather jerky and a bit annoying.

Historia
In the late 19th century, Father Charles Arminjon, a priest from the mountains of southeastern France, assembled his flock in the town cathedral to preach a series of conferences to help them turn their thoughts away from this life's mean material affairs - and toward the next life's glorious spiritual reward. His wise and uncompromising words deepened in them the spirit of recollection that all Christians must have: the abiding conviction that heavenly aims, not temporal enthusiasms, must guide everything we think, say, and do.
