Also it wasn't clear this was a LitRPG 'book' ie mostly about someone playing a VR game. Hoping that the story would develop but it never happens...seems that's in the next book!

Not sure what the author is trying to convey but its not very scifi and too drawn out. Glad its wss a free book or i would have returned it.

Feel very let down...

Like many others having spent so many hours listening to this (somewhat bloated) series I feel incredibly let down by the switch of narrator AGAIN. This one is the worst, clearly he's never read the earlier books and no one seems to care about continuity. I listened to 15mins of this and felt sick that I couldn't continue. Just like having gotten to the end of a book and finding the last part missing, at this stage in don't think I'll ever get to the end of the series. Also I'm going to think twice about listening to other Weber books in the future.

If I could give negative stars for performance then this would deserve it, since its impacted my experience on the whole (long) series. Even one star for the story since I'm not going suffer to hear it.

I'm going to go back and re-review earlier titles....as a survive to future listener.

Ok if your into teenage fantasy romance

Thoughtful and sweet travel story

The journey is as much philosophical as travelogue, sweetly told. It was not so much a page turner, as a joyful listen, and escape from other heavier reads, while not being lightweight, but very gently and thoughtfully discussed observations, discoveries and sometimes funny recollections!

A mixed bunch of stories...bad narrator

Some ok stories, but the narration is so bad I had to give up. As well as the dry, monotone reading there is poor editing with phrases bringing repeated or with poor context.

Ok since it's so short

Some good parts but overall a rambling mess

While some of the scenes are fun and well written other elements are highly disjointed, and overly drawn out. It seems like the author was trying to pad out the book, and lost the thread too often. I see some reviewers liked it, and the sudden ending with many questions answered, but to me it just seemed rather pretentious not to round things off.
