Always a great and exciting read
Revisado: 06-13-24
Psychological twists… Very very much… Did not however enjoy the increasing and graphic violence. It’s unnecessary. He’s a good writer who tells a good story… And consistently so. It’s character development continues with the complexities of human nature as an added bonus. The graphic brutality is simply unnecessary.

Procedural thriller…tells a good tale
Revisado: 04-19-24
Narrator is great as always. Getting a bit formulaic and predictable. I enjoy this author but have never liked gratuitous violence and unfortunately there is some. It completely distracts from the story line and I could actually skip two chapters before it ended.

Predictable
Revisado: 01-08-24
I enjoy psychological thrillers, however, this was entirely predictable, and drawn out to the point of boredom. I could skip five chapters, and not miss a thing.

Good Story with exceptional narration
Revisado: 11-05-23
I’ve read all the other books in the series and have found them well written with exceptional character development and the narrator is great. The story is well defined the details and procedural drama is very good.

Fifteen years ago, Amber was brutally murdered in the woods, and Lexie’s high-school boyfriend was sentenced to death for her killing. Lexie is still stuck in the town she dreamed she’d leave, and everyone thinks she knew more about the night of the killing than she told.

Disappointing compared to her other books
Revisado: 10-31-23
Very disappointed. Easily guessed the who done it, in spite of twists, and turns… Character development. We’re clumsy and felt it lacked real depth. The narrator was boring. Unfortunately, her voice is for the men sounded like eight year old boys trying to be men. It was not successful. And the timid girl was one dimensional and frankly grating. However, I must say I really liked her other books and chose this because of the others.

Performance was unparalleled by both, Mr. Armitage and Ms. Walker. They are stellar. It was a good story, but too drawn out at at times and a little unbelievable. The character development was good, However, I would listen to these two read the phonebook…

Nesbit already did it better.
Revisado: 11-29-22
Sad to say, I did not enjoy this book. I really enjoyed her previous books. The narrator is nothing short of awesome! But it can’t save this book over and over and over and over again boring plot when you run out of other things to say. Sadly disappointed.

Good story but.....
Revisado: 08-10-20
Poor narration truly distracted from a good mystery. The romance portion was something of Marilyn Monroe/Scarlett O’Hara and caveman Rhett butler...a romance that can only be described as adolescent and prurient. On the other hand a god story with developed and interesting characters.
