Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Historia
Beyond the Pale - winner of the Lambda Literary Award - tells the stories of two Jewish women living through times of darkness and inhumanity in the early 20th century, capturing their undaunted love and courage in luminous and moving prose. The richly textured novel details Gutke Gurvich's odyssey from her apprenticeship as a midwife in a Russian shtetl to her work in the suffrage movement in New York.

Not my cup of coffee
Revisado: 05-24-22
I you are member of LGBTQ+ comunity than this book is for you. It is a story about 2 russian jewish girls (cousins) falling in love. I gave it 3 stars because some of the story has interesting info from that era. It is set i New York city at the beginning of 20th century.
The author also narrates the book and it’s awful.
Her voice is so monotonous.
I didn’t enjoy this book at all and my standards aren’t high at all.
