Historia
The mythical Vase of Venus Aurelia hasn’t been seen since 1932, but Margot Rhodes is determined to change that. Drawn by the vase’s supposed magical properties, Margot embarks on her school’s archaeological trip to Pompeii. Sure, it’s her first time holding a shovel, but she’s got something no one else does: lost teenage explorer Van Keane’s journal. Poring over the poetic entries that serve as a map to the vase’s missing shards, Margot finds herself falling in love with the boy who wrote it a century ago.

Fun
Revisado: 03-16-25
Oh this was so cute, fun and light hearted!! I haven’t read YA in so long that I forgot how innocent YA romance is. I loved Margot. I loved the story and the adventure kept me so intrigued. Despite getting lost with the descriptions of the trials and caves.

Revisado: 05-28-24
The narrators made this so much more fun to read. I mean the Irish accent did it for me. I love Rowan and Sloane. They fit each other so well. Their playfulness was everything. Can’t wait for the sequel!!

HOLLY BLACK NEVER FAILS
Revisado: 04-03-24
The title of this review says it all. Holly is THEE faerie queen. She knows how to deliver a story and she did it. The narrator made this so much fun to read. I’m going to miss this world so much.

Perfect
Revisado: 07-16-23
Holly black is truly the queen of faerie. This book is a MASTER PIECE. This is even better than the cruel prince and it gets even better in the queen of nothing (I’m rereading the series). Despite reading this for the second time, I’m very much in awe. The story is so compelling and otherworldly. The trust and lack of trust between cardan and Jude and the games they play against each other is so interesting and fun and funny to read. They’re development is truly perfect

Elisabeth Scrivener is finally settling into her new life with sorcerer Nathaniel Thorn. Now that their demon companion Silas has returned, so has scrutiny from nosy reporters hungry for gossip about the city’s most powerful sorcerer and the librarian who stole his heart. But something strange is afoot at Thorn Manor: the estate’s wards, which are meant to keep their home safe, are acting up and forcibly trapping the Manor's occupants inside. Surely it must be a coincidence that this happened just as Nathaniel and Elisabeth started getting closer to one another.

Historia
Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary. But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

Ok tbh I was very intimidated to start this bc of how thick it is and thinking I was going to be let down kinda bc how and why would a slow burn take almost 700 pages long????? But, let me tell you, it was WORTH IT. I loved it. I love it so much. The pacing was perfect. THEY were perfect 😭.

Enjoyed reading Cardan’a POV
Revisado: 12-08-22
I love that this book is about Cardan. I so long wanted a Cardan POV to know his thoughts and everything else. I’m glad we got a backstory to how him and his bully gang came to be. How him and Nicasia became friends to lovers to back to friends. I was actually surprised to learn that him and Locke got in a fight over Nicasia. I’m glad we got to read a little more about his up bringing. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because I found the stories that Aslog told him boring. I tuned out for the entire portion of those stories. Despite that being the reason for this entire book, I feel like the approach could’ve been achieved differently. Nonetheless, I’m glad we got two Jurdan scenes, even though I was hoping we’d get more of them.
