Historia
In our world’s near future, civilization has fallen into terrifying chaos. Navigating the scarred landscape that once was America and guided by a powerful talisman, Logan Tom has sworn an oath to seek out a remarkable being born of magic and destined to lead the final fight against darkness. In time, Logan’s path will cross with others: Angel Perez, herself a survivor of death-dealing forces, and a makeshift family of refugees forced to survive among street gangs, mutants, and marauders. Common purpose will draw Logan and his allies together.

Not a fan of this narrator.
Revisado: 08-03-18
I'm a fan of Simon Vance and Scott Brick as narrators. Mr Dick Hill (my first time hearing him) was not up to their standards. It was difficult to stay with book.

Historia
The Silvertree Stronghold is more than just the family estate of the feared and awed Silvertree dynasty, whose wizardly powers and political cunning has survived through many generations. But with their power comes a curse, a curse more terrifying than rival warlords or the mystical threats of the dreaded faceless, an inward corruption of the soul that binds one's power to a downward spiral of madness and magic.

Tangential Story Line
Revisado: 01-16-18
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Non-cohesive story, extremely difficult to follow along. Simon Vance is always excellent. But this story line jumps all over the place. Characters were brought into the story and I had no idea who they are.
Would you ever listen to anything by Ed Greenwood again?
Yes
What does Simon Vance bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr. Vance is always excellent...period
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The concept of the "Silent House" and denizens within were great.
Any additional comments?
This is the first Simon Vance performance, of 30+ books I've listened to, that I didn't love.

Historia
Aglirta is known as the Kingless Land. Once a prosperous and peaceful river valley, it has fallen into lawlessness, studded with feuding baronies engaged in a constant state of war. But the land is kingless no more, for the Sleeping King of legend, King Kelgrael, has been awakened by the efforts of The Band of Four.

Narrartor was monotone and un-interesting.
Revisado: 08-29-17
What would have made The Vacant Throne better?
The only reason I listened to this book was anticipating Simon Vance completing the series...which was worth it. I don't feel right returning the book since I listened to it, but will never purchase another book with Stuart Langston as narrator...regardless of author. It was that bad!
Any additional comments?
Not sure why the Narrator Langston was chosen for such a great story-line. Mr. Langston did NOT do this book justice with his rendition. The last 2 books were enthralling with Simon Vance at the helm narrating....shame

Not a fan. Will be returning the book unfinished.
Revisado: 06-14-16
What disappointed you about Dissolution?
I tried to stay with this book for 8 hours of listening, couldn't take any more. Narrator's voice lost me between characters - indistinguishable between one and the other. Story was jumpy and difficult to follow. Narration had a lot to do with it.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I will not be listening to the rest of this series.
How did the narrator detract from the book?

Dina Pearlman as Narrator - want my money back!
Revisado: 02-10-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A different Narrator - no inflection differences between characters, difficult to follow and distinguish between characters. Maybe Ms. Pearlman could add an accent here or there so I can tell who is saying what. Aweful!
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
not possible to determine. I'm sure the story is great, but the Narrator is just so bad. I could only last 2 hours of the book.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dina Pearlman?
Anyone!!
What character would you cut from The Adversary?
N/A...can't finish the audible book.
Any additional comments?
I would like to request from Audible for my money back to apply to another book. I am a prolific user of Audible and spend allot of time on the road. I sincerely hope my comments don't fall on deaf ears....this presentation of the Adversary by Ms. Pearlman is truly not worth purchasing or listening to. I currently have 17 hours remaining on the book tape, which will not be listened to. After 2 hours of listening, I can't take it anymore!
