Historia
The Commonwealth has won a great victory, smashing Wolfbane's attempt to take Corinthian and driving Admiral Singh's forces back into enemy space. Now, as the Wolves reel under the impact of their defeat - and powerful factions plot to take control of the government and military - Edward Stalker plans a final offensive to bring the Wolves to their knees. But as mighty fleets clash in the inky darkness of space, infiltrators struggle to weaken a tottering edifice and both sides brace for the final confrontation, it all comes down to the last Terran Marines.

Can Michael J Sullivan tell a story or what. Loved the way he way able to tie in the first three and still was able to set up this book as a stand alone story. Can't wait for the next one.

Historia
Once the Church of God Awaiting dominated all the kingdoms of Safehold. Then, after centuries of stasis, the island kingdom of Charis began to defy the edicts of Mother Church—egged on, some say, by the mysterious warrior-monk Merlin Athrawes, who enjoys the Charisian royal family's absolute trust. What vanishingly few people know is that Merlin is the cybernetic avatar of a young woman a thousand years dead, felled in the war in which aliens destroyed Earth...and that since awakening, his task has been to restart the history of the long-hidden human race.

narrator needs to learn names and places
Revisado: 10-10-12
The story is great and action packed. However, narrator would have gotten a "5" if he just would had learned the correct way to pronounce most the names and places. Hopefully, this will be done before the next book comes out. I actually blame the narrator issues on the producer/director.

Historia
Acclaimed as "a technothriller set in the age of the Medicis" by Publishers Weekly, Eric Flint's best-selling Ring of Fire series has redefined the alternate-history genre. In this 10th novel, auto mechanic Bernie Zeppi heads to Moscow to bring Russia into the Industrial Revolution, 300 years ahead of schedule. War with Poland looms, but Bernie is more focused on a beautiful Russian noblewoman. Can he protect them both from the power struggles raging inside the Kremlin?

A great set up for the Next
Revisado: 08-02-12
It starts pretty good, then goes into the development of multiple characters and how it impacts the "characters"...not just one main character, but three to four. Stories with in stories, which I like, but you can tell Eric did not write this book by himself. The different styles kind of jump out at you. However, then it all comes together for a super climax and setup for the next book"s". I will be getting the next one. Just wish audible would have provided books 3 through 9 too. Hopefully soon.

Historia
In Wind Rider’s Oath, Bahzell became a wind rider - the first hradani wind rider in history. And, even if Bahzell is the War God’s champion, because the wind riders are the elite of the elite among the Sothoii, Bahzell’s ascension is as likely to stir resentment as respect. What’s more, Baron Tellian’s daughter, the heir to the realm, seems to be thinking that he is the only man - or hradani - for her. Now, War Maid’s Choice continues the story - and things really get complicated.

Better and Better
Revisado: 07-13-12
I am more of a contemporary sci fi reader/listener. However, a friend told me about this series. Did not want to waist my time with a Lord of the Rings wannabe. However, imagine my surprise when I "forced" myself to buy the first one. You know the rest of the story. Outside of LOR, this is a really great story with an exceptional narrator. Each book expands the story and you start to get a picture of where it is going. This brings me to my rating of book 4. Weber does a great job in developing additional characters without loosing the original characters in the story line. And WOW, the battles... I am really looking forward to book 5, 6, etc...

Historia
New York Times best-selling author Eric Flint has received glowing critical praise for his Ring of Fire alternate history series. In this first installment, a West Virginia town is transported from the year 2000 to 1631 Germany at the height of the Thirty Years’ War. Thrust into conflict, the town residents must also contend with moral issues such as who should be considered a citizen.

Revisado: 03-25-12
Wow, Wow, Wow...and I will say it one more time...Wow. I am a big David Weber, John Ringo fan. Was looking for another author to listen too while I waited for their next books to come out. I knew Eric Flint co wrote two books with Weber, so I thought I would try one of his. As you can see from above...Wow. Now my next question if to Audible...How long is it going to take to get the rest of not just this series, but other Eric Flint books? Great story of today meeting the past. Very interesting the detail provided about the dark ages and the true evil behind those times in our history. Very good work in merging fiction and that history. Again, looking forward to the next release. One more thing, hope they do not change the narrator...he did a super job.

Historia
Lieutenant Commander Matthew Reddy and the crew of the USS Walker find themselves caught between the nation they swore to defend and the allies they promised to protect. For even as the Allies and the Empire of New Britain Isles stand united against the attacks of both the savage Grik and the tenacious Japanese, the "Holy Dominion" - a warped mixture of human cultures whose lust for power overshadows even the Grik - is threatening to destroy them both with a devastating weapon neither can withstand.

WOW!
Revisado: 10-15-11
This book even surpasses book three in the amount of action involved. A great mix of all emotions in this one. Taylor does an exceptional job in telling an exciting and gripping story of three major battles going on at the same time. The narrator is great. I hope the production company does not make the mistake of other series and change narrators. Taylor writes and Dufris narrates an exceptional story. I can only think of one thing for Taylor Anderson to change....don't wait so long for the next book!

Historia
The Charisian Empire, born in war, has always known it must fight for its very survival. What most of its subjects don’t know even now, however, is how much more it’s fighting for. Emperor Cayleb, Empress Sharleyan, Merlin Athrawes, and their innermost circle of most trusted advisers do know. And because they do, they know the penalty if they lose will be far worse than their own deaths and the destruction of all they know and love.

Took some time
Revisado: 09-20-11
As with any new narrator...it takes a little while to get use to the voices. However, once you do that, the story really picks up and is very enjoyable (the "torture" and "terrorist" acts not considered). I hope it does not take so long for the next book to come out.
