I love the idea of this story, but there was a lot left unsaid. I think the girls took their best friend dying from drug use too unreal. I've been through this myself and it just felt very distant. Also, there is a lot of filler. Maybe the narrator ruined it for me, but I found myself speeding the story and I've listened to over 200 books and I've never done that before. I want to love this story but it fell short for me.

I tried so hard....

I tried so hard to get through this book because the story line was great but the narrator just didn't do it for me. He was very flat and I never knew who was supposed to be talking. I rather read this book myself instead of listen which says a lot considering I listen to books about 90% of the time.

The book is really slow... very typical

This book is very slow... as much as I want to love the book it didn't have much depth. It's all about the main character's feelings and that's basically it. I'll read the 2nd one just to know what she is but I kept waiting for that moment something would happen. It literally just took you through her day to day activities like a diary. I also kept hearing the narrator smack her lips. This annoyed me... I normally love teenage drama books... I hope the next one is better.
