Historia
Loretha Curry’s life is full. A little crowded sometimes, but full indeed. On the eve of her 68th birthday, she has a booming beauty-supply empire, a gaggle of lifelong friends, and a husband whose moves still surprise. True, she’s carrying a few more pounds than she should be, but Loretha is not one of those women who think her best days are behind her - and she’s determined to prove wrong her mother, her twin sister, and everyone else with that outdated view of aging wrong. It’s not all downhill from here.

Lifelong bond of sisterhood.
Revisado: 05-21-22
I'm 69 turning 70 and the book in the book was all about ladies my age living in the LA area . It is a "tell it like it is story". A story that deals with the reality of senior living, illness, fitness, Loss of loved ones and friends and of a life long bond of sisterhood that supports one another. This is an excellent book for younger generations to get a glimpse of what it's like to be a senior.

An African American searching for my motherland
Revisado: 12-10-21
I knew my parents and grandparents et cetera. However to be an African American is quite vague. Africa is not a country Africa is a continent the largest continent in the world. I did the DNA test because I wanted to know what country I was from. What country was my homeland. To be African American means to be of any shade of skin tone. The DNA results Indicate my ancestors are from Togo, Benign, Congo and a scattering of European countries. I do have some satisfaction knowing my ancestors are from West Africa. Which I knew knowing the history of how our people were enslaved and brought here. I do have my degree in Panafican studies and and have learned to speak kiSwahili. I've traveled to West Africa More specifically Egypt. I plan to visit the west coast on my search for my motherland, my people. Myra Ibiyonun La Motte
