I truly wish she was my best friend
Revisado: 12-09-23
I absolutely adore Leah Remini. I love her no nonsense take on things and I love how she isn't afraid to speak her mind. This book is a great read and leads you into the horrors, weirdness, and her dealings with the world of Scientology. I have read other books on Scientology but never from this perspective. It is mind blowing and makes me respect Leah more considering what she faced at the hands of this religion. I would highly recommend this book to all!!

Historia
After Phil Robertson quoted Scripture in an interview with a national magazine, his hit show, Duck Dynasty, put him on “indefinite hiatus.” Phil immediately knew what had happened: he had become a target of cancel culture. Since that time, Phil has spoken out against public shaming, strategic campaigns to get Bible-believing employees fired, and other tactics that are wreaking havoc in our society. In a deeply divided country, with so many bent on condemning and silencing others, Phil calls for us to carry out the unifying message of Jesus Christ.

Phil for President!!
Revisado: 12-09-23
Listen, I have loved everything ever written by Phil Robertson. I don't care what you say or think about the man. He will make you think and reevaluate some of what you believe. I also love how he backs up all his thoughts with scripture. Phil Robertson is a truly God fearing man and has a lot of great insights of things that are wrong with America now a days!

Can I give her a hug please?
Revisado: 12-09-23
I don't care if you love Britney or not, the pain and agony she has gone through at the hands of her family, paparazzi, and others is truly heartbreaking. The Woman in Me gives us a historical timeline through her early years, her time with JT, and through the craziness of that dreadful consevatorship. Honestly, I haven't had a book gut me as bad as this one. It truly is a very heartbreaking account of a former broken woman. I seriously am a bigger Britney fan now, and honestly, I wish I could give her a big hug!!

Hysterical Ride
Revisado: 01-29-21
I seriously have not laughed out loud at a book like I did this one for quite some time.
In her mid 40s, Grace has just shed 200+ of dead weight in the form of her cheating ex husband. Ready to begin her career a new, Grace lands a job with the rival realtors office in town. She is hired immediately with one catch, to solidify her position, she must find a buyer for one of three haunted locations given to her.
Another great perk of her new job is the hunky, younger new realtor at that firm. The chemistry is immediate and the sparks begin to fly. However, can Grace juggle new love, selling haunted houses and her meddling ex?
Along with her coven, Hope and Joy, Grace is poised to take whatever life throws at her.
This book is very well written. I laughed so hard during parts that I had tears streaming down my face. I am really looking forward to reading the rest of this mystical series!

Great story, great ending
Revisado: 01-29-21
Wow, what an interesting ride. This one has been in my Audible library for a couple months and I finally took the plunge. Man, I wish I had listened sooner.
Nina has always had it rough. Her mom is the grifter ans sadly, Nina has followed in hee path. However, when the perfect grift seems to present itself at a most drastic time, Nina and her boyfriend (Lachlan) make their move.
Vanessa is the little rich girl with the world at her feet. Instagram Influencer and jet setting around the world, she appears to have it all. However, when life throws her a curve ball, Vanessa moves back to her family home, Stonehaven. When Vanessa rents a cottage on the property to a couple from Portland, everything she believes comes into question.
Through the backdrop of Lake Tahoe, Pretty Things will have you guessing until the very end. The story development is wonderful and told through the eyes of both women. The story line is quick moving and throws curves you don't see coming. Character development is very well done with the house, Stonehaven, almost becoming its own character.
I would highly recommend this mystery/psychological thriller. 5 stars!!

The Witchy World meets Outlander in a great book
Revisado: 01-26-21
Helen believes she is meeting a blind date when her world is turned upside down by the information this "stranger" imparts. Apparently, Helen is a witch that has lived several lifetimes before. A witch forced to live a long time curse over and over. However, as Helen begins reliving her past lives, she magic begins to grow stronger.
Through Paris 1890s, Hollywood 1930s, New Mexico 1970s and now, Helen lives weave a beautiful tale of loves lost, curses that can control many lifetimes, and a tale of new love/magic. Sayers has delivered a great story that will leave you craving more. Beautifully written characters and storyline makes this a wonderful read.

Overall good ending to a good series
Revisado: 01-19-21
I would say this series has left me wanting more. The overall ending was very good. Sadly, I kinda of saw the ending coming a little bit. However, how Fleming finished the series was overall good. The one thing I would like to see is maybe a short novella set about 5 or 10 years down the road to let you know what has happened since the ending. I honestly believe that would be the perfect wrap to this good series.
These were the first books I have read by Sarah Lyons Fleming. These definitely will not be the last. I enjoyed her characters and their development through the series. Her overall writing was very good and kept me glued. I found I couldn't stop listening. If I had read theae books, I am sure it would have been a lot of long nights with no sleep. Narration overall was well done. I am definitely one who will stop an audiobook if the narration is bad. However, I found Julia Whalen's narration spot on and enjoyable.

Historia
Cassie Forrest could almost believe life at Kingdom Come Farm is perfect, with Adrian and her friends at her side and spring on the way. The spring thaw also means millions of defrosting zombies, however, and if the past year has taught her anything, it's that life in this new world is highly imperfect. When Safe Zones throughout the country begin to disappear and the zombies at the fences grow in number, Cassie clings to the hope that if she has the people she loves most, it will be all right.

Oh my!! My heart!!
Revisado: 01-19-21
Okay, we all know the end of the world will be filled wtih much heartache and strife. However, Fleming ripped out my heart and stomped on it with the 2nd installment of this series. Seriously, I am thankful I am the only one on my side of the office right now, because ugly tears were shed. This book will hit you in the feels and not let you up for breath. I honestly believe, though I loved the first book, this one is my favorite thus far. The emotion, the overall story and the grab you by the heart makes this one great.

Nice novella
Revisado: 01-11-21
First things first, reading "Until the End of the World" is a must before delving into this novella.
This novella takes place during "Until the End of the World" and deals with one of the main characters. Therefore, reading book one is a must.
Overall, this was a nice addition to the series and personally gave me more insight to a character I loathed in the first book.
