Historia
Seven years ago Kaylin fled the crime-riddled streets of Nightshade, knowing that something was after her. Children were being murdered— and all had the same odd markings that mysteriously appeared on her own skin….Since then, she's learned to read, she's learned to fight and she's become one of the vaunted Hawks who patrol and police the City of Elantra. Alongside the winged Aerians and the immortal Barrani, she's made a place for herself, far from the mean streets of her birth.

Dull story and duller narration
Revisado: 03-25-24
I suffered through over three chapters on 1.45 speed before finally giving up. And I very rarely change the speed either, so that should say something about how awful the narrator is.

Historia
Cider is the quintessential American beverage. Drank by early settlers and founding fathers, it was ubiquitous and pervasive, but following Prohibition when orchards were destroyed and neglected, cider all but disappeared. In The Cider Revival, Jason Wilson chronicles what is happening now, an extraordinary rebirth that is less than a decade old.

Good overview of heritage cider producers
Revisado: 10-11-20
Was a good overview of heritage cider producers if you want to find some new ones to try. Was weird that he weaved Trump politics throughout the book, didn’t help the cider narrative at all and seemed like something the editor should have removed

Historia
In 1606, the grand city of Prague hides an ugly secret: the emperor’s bastard son, Don Julius, is afflicted with a madness that pushes the prince to unspeakable depravity. Banished to a remote corner of Bohemia, Don Julius comes under the care of a bloodletter who works to purge the vicious humors coursing through the young royal’s veins. When the prince meets the bloodletter’s daughter Marketa, his madness sparks a frenzied - and dangerous - obsession.

Wrong Narrator
Revisado: 09-29-16
I do not understand why someone would would select a person who sounds like a middle-age American women to read a book consisting mostly of dialogue between a young teenage Hungarian girl and older Hungarian/German men. Most of the book was read in extremely painful accents! And the parts she read in her "normal" American accent made the European-accented parts even more jarring. I would not recommend the audio version of this book because of this.
