I have so many feelings about this book! First, I want to say that I will definitely be reading the next one. I love a good billionaire-in-the-Hamptons story; I think it's the New Yorker in me. However, I didn't love the female main character—that's just a personal preference. I felt like the male main character was too good for her. Despite that, I really enjoyed the story, and as always, Kat's writing is perfection.

Worth the wait for the audio!

I love a bunch of grumpy, rowdy brothers, and they make bourbon. Well, I knew the story would be good. You have your healthy dose of suspense, secrets, found family, and a good story that will make you fall in love with Grant. He is a protector and grumpy, and I really cannot wait for the next book! I already have a favorite, “ACE,” and I feel the wait will be worth it.

This found family is different from the ones I'm used to, but it's just as good! This series stands out, and it's by far my favorite. I love a badass female main character, and Cass fits the bill perfectly. As for Rio, he is simply perfection!

I'm trying to pick a favorite, but with each book, I fall more in love! Sergei is my new favorite character. He’s the kind of hero who is deadly, yet you can't help but want to hug and protect him. Angeline is a badass in her own right! I'm not sure what lies ahead in this series, but I'm jumping right to the next book.

Hate it when is over! So good

This book was a punch into my soul. It hit all the feels, and I was not ready for it to end! This gave found family a whole new meaning! And I want to be a Colson. It is such beautiful writing. Lincoln is all man; yes, he is a billionaire and a martial arts fighter. He is all protection and kindness. My girl Arden is a brave, intense spitfire who loves hard in her way. This story developed at a perfect pace, and now I'm dying because I have to wait for Trace Story, which I have been dying for since the first time he was introduced. Catherine knows how to write a perfect found family romantic suspense!

I did not want it to end! It's so good. I love the communication between them. How brave and clever Nina is, and Roman is just perfection! The narration was so good!!

I'm conflicted!!

This book was good, but not the best. I hate giving a book less than four stars, but it is what it is; we can’t always love everything we read. I think that because the first book had such a significant emotional impact on me, I approached this one with very high expectations. Honestly, I really enjoyed the story. It was sweet, yet there was so much trauma involved.

I tried to connect with Ozzy, but in my opinion, Maren felt too perfect and patient. Despite her own pain, she was always considerate and kind, which is admirable, but it left me feeling like she was too good for him. I understand that he was dealing with a lot of trauma as well, but I'm not sure I just feel like she deserved so much more. But I did love the ending and finished the book with a smile.

Heartaching and sweet

When I started reading this book, I expected a typical cutesy hockey romance. While it had its cute moments, it turned out to be much heavier than I anticipated. The life Sadie lives has made her bitter, angry, and outright rude. Rhys is also battling his own demons, and together they are exactly what each other needs, even if it takes them some time to realize it. This story had me taking deep breaths due to its heavy topics and the heartache I felt as I connected with their struggles. It’s a really good book, but be sure to read the trigger warnings, as it’s not a smooth ride.(this book reminded me a lot of The Boys of Tommen series)
