Historia
Beyond traditional threats from states such as China and Russia and non-state actors employing violent extremism, can America's politics and political system withstand the assaults of the Fifth Horseman and the new MAD, massive attacks of disruption? The COVID-19 pandemic, the January 6 insurrection and takeover of the US Capitol, SolarWinds cyberattacks, the Texas storms that cut power, and the blocking of the Suez Canal are harbingers of the new MAD. And the nation is unaware and unprepared to deal with them.

Don't shoot he messenger!
Revisado: 05-30-22
Don't shoot the messenger! The Fifth Horseman is the most important book of the year. Dr. Ullman not only points out the existing problems with our government and its policies but the future problems as well. He also proposes solutions that we should be working on now. It is a completely apolitical book that properly skewers all parties. If we can't achieve positive government by reason instead of failed government by inaction, we are all doomed to perish with the foolish masses and the evil manipulators that mislead them to their destruction for their own selfish egos. Please buy and read and implement.

Historia
For decades, Dick Conant paddled the rivers of America, covering the Mississippi, Yellowstone, Ohio, Hudson, as well as innumerable smaller tributaries. These solo excursions were epic feats of planning, perseverance, and physical courage. At the same time, Conant collected people wherever he went, creating a vast network of friends and acquaintances who would forever remember this brilliant and charming man even after a single meeting.

Brilliant first book from impeccable author.
Revisado: 05-29-22
A strange and fascinating man brought to life by a perceptive and unobtrusive new author. You are left with two stories. That of the riverman and the young author in search of his truth. In a time in our country when almost everyone seems to be intolerant of the different or the strange, our riverman finds friendship and understanding while changing peoples' lives in subtle ways. Like a modern de Tocqueville, the author helps us discover river life and its acceptance of the different . I was just sad that it ended and can't wait for Mr. McGrath's next book.
