Historia
After 20 years in Britain, Bryson returned to the U.S. and decided to reacquaint himself with his native country by walking the 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail, which stretches from Georgia to Maine. This is his humorous, inspiring account.

Lucky to have made it through
Revisado: 03-09-07
Being an avid outdoorsman and survivalist, I found this book to be the story of a man who had no business being on the AT. If you a planning to hike the AT this would be a good book to read so you know what not to do while on the trail. Bryson was lucky to have made it through as much of the trail as he did. This is the kind of individual that wastes our tax dollars being rescued every year.
Having read some of Bryson's other books, frankly I expected a bit more out of this book.

Not Worth it
Revisado: 03-09-07
I found listenting to the overly verbose description of every little thing that happened in Galvin's life tiring and not particularly enjoyable. This would be a good story if it wasn't so overlavishingly descriptive. It got a little boring after a while.

Worth a Credit?
Revisado: 03-09-07
This was an interesting little short story. However, I found the audio portion of it difficult to hear and was dissapointed that I had to strain to listen to the story.

I loved this book
Revisado: 02-20-07
This book was awesome! Bill Bryson does a great job keeping a highly technical and seeming dull topic interesting and humorous. Not a book for everyone but definitely for anyone who has an interest in the natural sciences.

The tales of the Norse gods, of the giants, demons, trolls and dwarves, still have the power to fascinate more than a thousand years after they were first told. Here are the stories of the one-eyed god Odin, Tyr the god of war, of the cunning Loki, of Thor the mighty thunder god and a host of others.

This was a fun book to listen to. The narator does a great job of portraying the various characters and getting the listener into the book.
This would be a great book for older kids as well or any one who just enjoys norse mythology.

Historia
Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's magnum opus, which launched an ideology and a movement. With the publication of this work in 1957, Rand gained an instant following and became a phenomenon. Atlas Shrugged emerged as a premier moral apologia for capitalism, a defense that had an electrifying effect on millions of readers (and now listeners) who have never heard capitalism defended in other than technical terms.

Incredible book
Revisado: 02-20-07
This book was awesome. It was a gripping tale that kept my interest throughout the whole thing. The only complaint I have is that it is very long and some of Ayn Rands rants tend to be a little long winded.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
