Historically interesting tale of an unpleasant person.
Revisado: 12-23-23
I do like mr Iggulden's other books. This however I had a hard time with since Dunstan is such a complete narcissistic sociopath. For me it also fails to inspire the proper awe for Dunstan's extraordinary talents. Still it's an interesting part of history.

Historia
Viv’s career with the renowned mercenary company Rackam’s Ravens isn’t going as planned. Wounded during the hunt for a powerful necromancer, she’s packed off against her will to recuperate in the sleepy beach town of Murk – so far from the action that she worries she’ll never be able to return to it. What’s a thwarted soldier of fortune to do? Spending her hours at a struggling bookshop in the company of its foul-mouthed proprietor is the last thing Viv would have predicted. Even though it may be exactly what she needs. Still, adventure isn’t far away.

More characters that you will fall in love with...
Revisado: 11-18-23
... And that you will miss after you have finished the story. Which is kind of the message of the books I guess 😊

Such a delicious treat of a story. Especially savoury if you have worked in the business of coffee brewing, and are a fan of fantasy 😊

Me, I love myself a dose of woke thriller suspense
Revisado: 09-12-23
Don't worry about all the bad reviews. If you came for a solid thriller feature our favourite investigator and company, you will be happy you did.
As far as politics, well if you have read any King book you will know where he stands. And if you still think that COVID is a hoax, well then probably skip this one if you are easily triggered.
I so hope that we get more from the characters. I guess I'll have to have Holly hope 😊

Diminishing returns
Revisado: 01-18-23
Muddled storytelling with some glimpses of quality (Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy 🧛). Too much creepy focus on sex.
