Historia
They're out there, under the salt - the bodies of German seamen who used to lie in wait at the mouth of the Mississippi for unescorted American tankers sailing from the oil refineries of Baton Rouge out into the Gulf of Mexico. As a child, Dave Robicheaux had been haunted by the sailors' images. Years later, Robicheaux, a detective with the New Iberia sheriff's office, finds himself and his family at serious risk, stalked for his knowledge of a watery burial ground by a mysterious man named Will Buchalter - a man who believes that the Holocaust was one big hoax.

A standout in the series ‼️

Retired. Rereading the early books before I go through the last ones. Refreshing my memory with the beginning story. This is the best so far. Amazing plot with so many twists and turns. The characters. Are Traverse and the historical content is very entertaining. says so much about the late 1900s. IT’S WOKE And makes you ask where you would have been in the plot. Best on yet.

Best from the best

Sue is always a go to book. Never disappointed.
Narration is superb. As I become unable to read well, her voice is a comfort. Don’t get me wrong, these books are enticing. But she is a friend that is reading me asleep. Hope to read more soon. ‼️

Historia
His old life in the rearview, Del Castigliano has left Wisconsin to work homicide for the Seattle PD. Breaking him in is veteran detective Moss Gunderson, and he’s handing Del a big catch: the bodies of two unidentified men fished from Lake Union. It’s a major opportunity for the new detective, and Del runs with it, chasing every lead - to every dead end. Despite the help of another section rookie, Vic Fazzio, Del is going nowhere fast. Until one shotgun theory looks to be dead right: the victims are casualties of a drug smuggling operation.

Need more

Made things much clearer. Tracy’s big 10 were quite good reads but wasn’t enough to tell more of the story. Quite fascinating
