Historia
There's no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.

Love Abby Jimenez, but missed the mark in some ways
Revisado: 04-05-25
Overall I really enjoyed the story of the MMC and FMC. I liked how there was no breakup, but their love just grew. My disappointment with the book came with the FMC’s father. I feel like it easily gave an excuse for cheating. True none of the other characters knew what he was dealing with, but he took a vow when he married and it was like that just didn’t matter. Was extremely disappointed by this. And if it wasn’t wrong then why was he lying and sneaking around at first. He was a side character, but I feel like the author was trying to show different sides to a family with dementia. It just didn’t hit right for me the way his cheating was accepted. Left me feeling a little disgusted and disappointed in the book.

Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother. And that his best friend has a crush on me. And that I just moved in with them. Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?

Terrible storyline
Revisado: 03-07-25
I chose to purchase this because Jacob Morgan is superb. I’ve also listened to Elle Kennedy books before. This book fell short. The two main characters didn’t have much depth. They were selfish and hurtful to Hunter with little to no remorse. It just didn’t leave me feeling happy for them or excited about their story. This story only made me feel enraged on his behalf.

Historia
Walking away from Matt Moreno was the hardest thing I've ever done. Lying to him was a close second, but for his safety, I had no other choice. I was undercover, working to put some nasty people behind bars. But when Matt nearly recognizes me on Lincoln Road a year later, all those very real feelings come rushing back. Now that my assignment's almost over, will he understand why I lied? Why I had to leave? Most important, can he ever forgive me?

Storyline was terrible
Revisado: 10-30-24
Story was ridiculous to me. April lied and helped send Matt’s father to prison for the rest of his life and he still wants to be with her. It was too much of a stretch. Disappointed.
