What a sweet and endearing tale. Clarke combines an exciting plot with intriguing characters for a definite winning start to this series. I loved how the underlying theme of morality shines through without overpowering the plot of the tale. At the same time, the characters themselves are such god people that you can't help but fall in love with them. Throughout the entire tale, Clarke's inviting voice shines through, inviting readers deep into the troublesome world that her characters find themselves living in.

This is definitely a fairy tale with a twist (or four). It's a heartfelt tale that will be fun for all ages.

The lighthouse secret

What a charmingly sweet tale! Intricate descriptions and a well plotted tale really drew me in while the unforgettable characters kept me hooked. I loved the feeling of traveling alongside the characters as they wound their way to the end, outwitting their opponents at every turn.

I love how she weaves the mystery throughout this novel, keeping the suspense ramped up while still making the story enjoyable for all. The mix of art, history and unique characters really made this an enjoyable tale for me.

As a whole this was a nice, clean story that drew me in on many levels. I'm sorry to see the series end, but this was also a great ending for it.

Clarke has penned a remarkably exciting and charming novel here. Vivid world building and an exciting plot are just the thing needed to make these spectacular characters shine.

I thoroughly enjoyed the well developed backstory and mythology that surrounds both this tale and the world that Clarke has developed. Different cultures and races come together to defeat a common enemy as prophecies are fulfilled. The sense of inevitability combines with a solid sense of individuality for a charming mix.

This is a tale that will be enjoyed by fantasy lovers hound and old alike. The mix of adventure and danger, alongside a cast of unforgettable characters is well worth diving into.

Mystery on the Bayou

What a captivating tale! Once again Clarke has combined romance with mystery in such a manner that she left me completely enchanted. The plot unfolded in a unique manner that kept me guessing. I also really enjoyed the sightseeing and food exploration that the main characters engaged in during their downtime. It really brought the locale to life for me.

This story also walks the perfect line between being part of a series and being a standalone. She provides just enough background information that readers new to the series can easily jump into the story here, but not so much as to bore returning readers.

As a whole, this was a fun and heartwarming tale that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Alliance of Isian

Wow! This series just keeps getting better. Clarke melds fantasy with a vivid manner of storytelling that had me hooked. The intricate descriptions lend themselves to Clarke's vivid world building while the intimate voice allowed me to really get into the exciting and fast paced plot.

I love how Clarke showed the separation between those who approve of magic and those who don't. It's not just a given thing in this world. Many are against it, and for good reason. This divide added a complexity to this tale that I never expected.

I love how character driven this story was. It really allowed me a mulit-perspective view of the story. Beyond that, I truly enjoyed getting to know these new characters. They quickly and easily found a place in my heart.

All in all this was a fantastic story on it's own and an unforgettable addition to the Isian series. I'm dying to see what comes next!

A must read!

Flimflam and goose-butt feathers! What an absolutely unforgettable novel. This is regency romance at its finest. The setting comes to life under Cameron’s talented pen. She weaves a world steeped in the past, taking readers back in time to experience the lives of her characters for a short while. The plot was intriguing and realistic. The romance was very real, yet not very easy for the characters.

The Misses Culpepper are most definitely my favourite romance heroines of all times. Blythe is priceless from the get-go. I love her reactions to things. I enjoyed getting to know the many sides of Tristan’s character. There was just so much to love, without him being too perfect. Surrounded by their friends and family, this was the perfect cast to get lost with.

The narrator for the audio version of this tale brings every aspect to live in an explosive way! The characters walk alongside you as their tale unfolds in a lively and captivating manner. I loved the different idiosyncrasies that really pop through the narration.

Collette Cameron makes romance fun. I laughed from the beginning to the end of this novel, all the while falling in love with these remarkable characters. This is one of those novels that leaves you smiling and hugging your book when it’s over, not ready to admit you’ve reached the end yet completely satisfied.

Fantastic!

From picturesque scenery to astoundingly vivid sequences, Clarke has it all with this one. The plot was just fast paced enough to keep me hooked without feeling like we were rushing to the conclusion. Clarke made me think as I was trying to puzzle out the mystery that Amelia and Rick found themselves unraveling. Her eloquent writing made me feel as if I were adventuring alongside the characters.

Speaking of the characters, I feel as if I know them individually, as if they're true friends. Throughout the series Clarke has continued to develop her main characters in such a manner that you can't help but know and love them. At the same time, they never cease to surprise me.

I love Amelia and Rick in all of their comical and intricate ways. They're so sweet together that I simply can't get enough of them. At the same time, the mysteries that they solve go above and beyond, keeping me completely hooked on their adventures. I definitely can't wait to see where the Amelia Moore Detective Agency ends up next!

Melinda and the Wild West

What a fantastic journey back in time! Clarke takes readers back to the western expansion with a story that will capture your heart and allow your imagination to run wild. I love the tidbits of history and trivia throughout. They kept my attention and really allowed me to picture the full range of things going on at the time. The tale was both fun and emotional. I love how Clarke develops this world in all its natural glory while also drawing out emotions and choices of the fantastic characters that we come to know and love.

Clarke has filled this novel with characters who tug at your heart. Melinda is a fantastically complex and intriguing heroine to carry this story forward. I love getting to know her as she insinuates herself into this world that she moves into. Her love interest is equally captivating. I love his strength and the depth of his caring. It was a fantastic mix. The family and friends that they find themselves surrounded by serve to fill out the story in a fantastic manner that really brings this small town to life.

This novel will be loved by readers of all ages. I couldn’t get enough of the characters or of the picturesque world that Clarke creates for her readers. It was simply breathtaking.

The Mysterious Doll

Amelia Moore strikes again! Along with her always unforgettable sidekick, these two took me on a journey that I’ll never forget. I love how this author melds mystery with real life. Her seamless storytelling allows us to get to know her characters up close and personal as they work together, battling danger and piecing the mystery together.

I love the bucket list concept that Amelia and Rick have going. Every spare moment that they have they use to help the other achieve their goals. It’s great for both their personal and professional relationships. I also enjoyed the slow growth of their personal relationship. It really added a lot to the tale for me.

Once again Weaver Clarke has created a mystery that had me trying to unravel each and every aspect of it as the characters drew me in. This series has definitely captured my attention and the characters will always have a place in my heart.

The Earl's Enticement

I don’t remember the last time that I laughed so hard while reading. The banter, antagonism, and at times cooperation between the main characters was absolutely priceless. At the same time, Cameron had me near tears at times, and always wrapped up in this intricate tale. The characters’ pasts and presents collide as they fight against forces outside their control.

I love the way that Cameron brings her two main characters together. They both had secrets that slowly come out into the open, but above that, they were fantastic matches to one another. They both balanced and accepted one another. And their chemistry was off the charts. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this whole cast, they were all so much fun and such vibrant individuals.

Cameron has definitely created a winning novel with this one. It was a lot of fun to read and also priceless as an audio book. No matter which format you choose, this novel is definitely a must read.
