Big surprise, Gertie still figures out how to cause turmoil even on vacation (well, duh). Hilarity and suspense ensues trying to keep Gertie from being railroaded on a murder charge.

Entertaining Story, Awesome Narration

Susan Stoked writes good romances; however, the suspense portion is so obvious. I've listened to the entire series and the "bad guy" pops up early and says "it's me, it's me." It's like she wrote a mildly erotic romance and then was told she had to add some suspense since these were SEALs.
What makes the Audible book worth the listen is Stella Bloom's narration. She brings life to all the characters and makes them much more engaging than they're written. Highly recommend anything she narrates.

Everybody Did It

Missing person, kidnapping, murder. Sounds like it would be one case that escalates, right? Nope, Shaye's asked to look into a cold missing person case while Jackson & Grayson are trying to find a kidnapped girl. After Shaye starts interviewing people in the cold case, they start dying. Jackson & Grayson start investigating the murders which brings them back to the kidnapping.... So, yes everybody does everything.

Story Alright, Narrator Not So

Although this is a part of the master's and mercenaries series, the Topped novellas are erotic romance without the suspense. The story was all right; however, it was a bit rushed. Also, the narrator read this as if he got a bonus for finishing it quickly. It was read very rapidly with little emotion. The character voices are not well varied, especially the fenales.
Although I'm still a huge Lexi Blake fan, this is my least favorite so far.

Story Good, Narration Clashes

Although both narrators are very good, their styles clash. If they had actually done a synchronized duet rather than the more common separate chapters it would have been great. Although both narrators due excellent male and female characters, they simply don't complement or blend well enough to make this tolerable to hear. Story's still entertAining, but do NOT recommend listening.

Aargh! A Cliff Hanger

Awesome suspense, interesting reveal, but...a finger gripping cliff hanger! All this aside it's still a great story and series. The only problem is that Liliana Hart has so many series going that it's probably going to be way too long before "the rest of the story" is written. :>{ If you haven't listened or read this one I'd wait until the one comes out before reading this one.

Entertaining As Always

Lexi Blake usually can't be beat for erotic suspense. This time; however, I saw everything coming way ahead of time. Also, Harry and Winnie don't leave me with the feeling that they belong together as do most of her protagonists.
Alexandra Shawnee did much better job at narration than I first thought. The farther it went on the more she (or the characters) improved..

Entertaining Premise

A slight twist on time travel with nice humor. I still find the heroine comes across a more spoiled than independent until half way through. The "villians" should be in the stupid criminals hall of fame. Prefer the tales of the other two Jackson brothers (better protagonists and villains). Hope they come out soon. Wish there had been a follow up showing the genealogy. If this is your first Maddie Taylor novel, don't give up.
Having read all of Maddie Taylor's e-books, I wish her Club Decadence series would come out on audible.
Narrator's has good rhythm, cadence and emotion but his female characters are a bit too bass.
