I don’t even know how I found this book, but I’m glad I did. If you like the genre, go for it. It won’t disappoint.

I did not see all the twists and tuns coming. I did feel like a couple of things were left untied (maybe I missed it), but the story kept me glued to the phone from beginning to end. Narrator was fantastic. One of the best I’ve heard so far.

Great read!

This one had me from end to end, it was hard to put it down! Very well paced, consistent, and intriguing. I got a wee distracted by the narration, but not nearly enough to ruin the experience. And he’s got a very nice voice, it’s relaxing in a way.

Nightfall

If you like the genre, Nightfall does it. I could see it as a movie in my head, and I like how the suspense happened even without the goriness that we see in other apocalyptic stories of the same style. I’d love to see this on screen.

I am familiar with the subject, so the content of the book doesn’t blow my mind as it did the first time I heard of it. But it’s still good, and it’s a great refresher. That’s not the problem. The problem is - and I’m only writing this because it bothers me that much, as I’m not one to run to write bad reviews - I just can’t stand someone constantly saying “AKS” instead of “ask”, several times throughout the book. I just cant. This is awful and if I didn’t have just a few minutes left to go, I might quit listening to it. Seriously. Just…no. And this wasn’t the first thing that bothered me about the performance, but it’s definitely what ruins it.

I didn't want it to end!

What a delightful book! I laughed, and I cried, I cheered for (and got mad at) the characters, and it took me back to my childhood, to my grandma's maid, and it brought me so many sweet memories of my relationship with her. It's touching, eye opening, and I couldn't put it down. The narrators were absolutely AMAZING, and they took my experience to another level. Fantastic.

Great story!

Lots of unexpected twists and turns, with a surprising outcome. I couldn't wait to hear it all! I did not click with the narrator, however, and this was a bit of a cold shower. It was my first audio book ever, so this lack of connection was rather disappointing. But I still recommend it. I would love to see this on the big screen.
