Extremely helpful and eye-opening

I recommend this to all parents who have children with chronic pain. I just wish I would’ve read this a lot earlier in my child’s journey with chronic pain. The content allowed me to see and then understand what I was doing wrong. I thought I was making the best choices for my child as she tried to handle the chronic pain and also the mental health struggles that go along with it, but I wasn’t. My heartstrings and love for my child steered me in one direction but for the overall well-being of my child now looking back, I see I should have made decisions in a different direction. The author though gives so much grace and understanding and encouragement to the parent in helping them see some wrong choices they have made and how to correct them. Please if your child has chronic pain get this book.

Don’t miss this book!

Lysa is vulnerable (as always) in order to help others for the glory of God. Disappointment- Lysa unravels this emotion and through scripture, teaches us about it and equips the reader on how to handle it God’s way. It isn’t easy, but being able to put words to what many are walking through, brings understanding and HOPE! Thank you Lysa. You have ministered to me for almost 20 years now through your conferences, your books, your teaching and your real life stories. YOU have been used by the Lord greatly in growing me closer to Jesus in the ups and downs of my life’s journey. You are a treasure to me who I am so incredibly thankful for. I’m sorry for all you have been through, but am thankful and have benefited from you always sharing to help others, no matter the cost. May the Lord bless you, as He always has, and is, and will continue to do!

You HAVE to read this book!!!

I read Bob‘s first book, love does, and this one is just as phenomenal. So inspiring and I was full of tears at the end of his book. Oh that I could live the life that Bob lives trying to carry out Jesus love here on earth. Thank you Bob for your inspiring example to love like Jesus. Your stories are truly amazing and God has gifted you with such creativity and spunk and love. Don’t ever stop creating more stories so you can share with the world to inspire each of us to make A difference for God‘s kingdom through spreading His love!

A must read for moms of all stages!

I just recently finished listening ti the Audible version of the High Calling of Motherhood. I loved it! Chimene’s real life stories, applications, and truths that she draws out that we need to pass on to our children as Christian moms are invaluable. I found myself tearing up at some of her real life mommy stories with her girls and family. She doesn’t just teach truth from the Bible in her book but she has lived it out with her family and shares her stories, not to boast, but to show us as moms what it looks like to apply God’s truth to motherhood. I would often stop the audible version to take notes whether it was to apply for my own kids or to share with those moms that I am mentoring and discipling. This is a valuable and encouraging tool for all of us moms who are desiring to parent well with Christ in the center. You won’t regret the time and money spent on investing in this book and applying it to motherhood. I highly recommend it.

Wow! Great truth in this book and very encouraging.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone, especially those struggling in fear and faith. Christine gives wonderful examples of truth in action. She references scripture constantly and her faith and drive to serve the Lord and trust in hanging onto his promises is very inspiring. I’m so glad I listened to this book. And it was a bonus that she narrated this audible book herself!

Amazing!!! Wow!!! Bob's stories are truly remarkable, jaw dropping and almost unbelievable. But I am now understanding that is what love does. I want to do what love does and touch lives with the whimsy Bob does, as Jesus modeled for us.

Challenging for women of all ages and stages.

Wow, what a great dissection and teaching of God's word on Titus 2 for women. This is perfect for discipling woman to woman, discussing what is Christ's heart, and how women can live this out in becoming more like Jesus. Nancy does a great job of asking specific, thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter to make the information applicable and action oriented. I would highly recommend this to both older and younger women who are serious about discipling or being discipled.
