Prepping with the man upstairs

An enjoyable read at times but is nearly overcome by the literal preachy onsluaght in certain chapter's. I would like to think there are better writers making Christian novels out there. Exposition dumps are not good writing. The author wasted a lot of time building up a main character to firearms ownership and proficiency, why not already have her be a trained gun owner? Side note, people use bad words in real life.

The rich, the powerful, they lived their lives at the rate of one year every 10. Some created two societies: that of people who lived out their normal span and died, and those who slept away the decades, skipping over the intervening years and events. It allowed great plans to be put into motion. It allowed interstellar empires to be built.

Easily one of Card's best sci-fi novels.

Character arcs are forged by a strong fire. Imo the best novel Card has ever written. All the junky books getting their own TV shows, why hasn't this one made the cut? This could give "The Expanse" a run for it's money.

This provides some excellent points. My only problem with it is that Rant Radio actually started podcasting back in 1999. Which means they were around long before MTV's Source Code podcast. I understand the author may have wanted to name drop a specific cast or an American one, but his comment on the first podcast was inaccurate. Otherwise this was an excellent primer for would-be internet radio personalities.
