Historia
Stephen E. Ambrose draws from hundreds of interviews with US Army veterans and the brave Allied soldiers who fought alongside them to create this exceptional account of the day that shaped the twentieth century. D-Day is above all the epic story of men at the most demanding moment of their existence, when the horrors, complexities and triumphs of life are laid bare and courage and heroism come to the fore.

The love of FREEDOM outweighs the fear of war and death
Revisado: 12-31-23
It is sobering to be reminded of easily freedom can be stolen and the cost that it requires to maintain. THANK GOD for all of those who were and are willing, to stand up and lay their lives lives on the line. Books like this, help us to have a better understanding of the magnitude and depth of D Day. It's NOT just a Holyrood movie, no offense to John Wayne and other actors. It was a do or die situation. Thank you for the detail in this book and the perspective of those who fought there! LEST WE FORGET!!

Deep and thought provoking
Revisado: 05-02-20
I would have preferred that this book be read by a mail with the fireside chat of Chuck Swindoll. I did like the depth into Jesus' life, although there are some salvific differences I have with Chuck. According to scripture, baptism is an essential part of God's plan of salvation. Acts 2:37-39; Acts 8 and Acts 10. Jesus, Himself, was baptized as our example. That said, I do get something out of Chuck's books.

Historia
Chick Bowdrie could have ridden the outlaw trail, but the Texas Rangers recruited him, because they didn't want to have to fight against him. Pursuing the most wanted men in the Southwest, he knew all too well the dusty trails, the bitter cattle feuds, the desperate killers, and the quiet, weather-beaten, wind-blasted towns that could explode into action with the wrong word. Follow Bowdrie's adventures in six classic westerns by America's favorite storyteller, Louis L'Amour.

Historia
When Navy SEAL Adam Brown woke up on March 17, 2010, he didn’t know he would die that night in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan - but he was ready: In a letter to his children, not meant to be seen unless the worst happened, he wrote, "I’m not afraid of anything that might happen to me on this earth, because I know no matter what, nothing can take my spirit from me."
