I really liked the story line and for me the ending was unexpected. I did think she would be caught but was pleasantly surprised that the story ended differently. An excellent read.

Feelin it!

This was a great book and I’ve already listened to it several times as well as watched the series on tv. My favorite part is when Big Jim Rennie is “Feelin it” I had so many emotions reading this book and all of them were positive. Excellent writing, excellent narration, excellent all around I give it a five out of five!

Great conclusion to a wonderful story

I loved the suspense and now I plan to reread each story to see the things I missed the first time. I literally almost cried when Harry realized what was expected of him in the end. Please listen, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m not sure about all the bad reviews about the narrator. She actually did a great job. The story was different and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It read smoothly and I was a little surprised by some of it. I agree, this book would make an interesting movie.

Good book, terrible narrator

The story line was good and I really liked the book at lot. The narrator made me want to stop listening. She has a difficult time pronouncing words correctly and her voice is so monotone. I did not like her at all. Other than that this is a great book.

Great Listen!

This was my first time reading a book by Sophia Quintero and I think she did an excellent job. Especially with the "Me Too' movement we have going on now, this book gives us an in-depth look at how the music industry is very similar to what was happening in Hollywood and most likely still is. I like that Cassie was a strong individual and knew when to keep her mouth shut and just listen. She was an "Angel with a Dirty Face" and G Double D called her and she lived up to her name. The narrator helped with the portrayal of the two young ladies and she did an excellent job. I didn't feel the book was too predictable and kept me on the edge of my seat. Two thumbs up. I'll be listening to more from this author.

I actually read this book years ago when I was in school. I love listening to the narrators voice as I relive this story again. It’s a classic and a keeper.

Excellent read

This book was realistic and true to what goes on in these neighborhoods today. I could see the characters and I could definitely relate to the young girl and what she went thru. After reading some of the negative reviews, I am shocked. It just goes to show that people still believe, "out of sight, out of mind". If they don't see it then it didn't happen. Stop being closed minded. This type of thing happens everyday and our young men are being killed. I loved the narrator and how she brought the story to life. A must read for sure.

Surprising ending

This is not a spoiler alert. There are times you think you know where the plot is going and then the author surprises you with a twist. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end. Very well written and a great performance. The end swept me away because it is not what I was expecting. A must read!
