Historia
Imagine a world in which you own nothing and rent everything. Most of the protein in your diet comes from bugs. You are not allowed to have more than one child, and your financial and medical data are instantly transferred to a centralized government database via a subdermal microchip. Controligarchs warns that this will be our existence if the supranational elites of the World Economic Forum get their way.

The puzzle
Revisado: 02-06-24
The pieces are put together. Feudalism is on the return. The American Experiment will be defeated from within. The king is dead. Long love the king.

Historia
Though Anderson Cooper has always considered himself close to his mother, his intensely busy career as a journalist for CNN and CBS affords him little time to spend with her. After she suffers a brief but serious illness at the age of ninety-one, they resolve to change their relationship by beginning a yearlong conversation unlike any they have ever had before. The result is a correspondence of surprising honesty and depth in which they discuss their lives, the things that matter to them, and what they still want to learn about each other.

Poor little rich people.
Revisado: 05-21-16
Very shallow. Not much discussion about other people. It's all about my tough life because I was born rich. Poor me. Not what I had expected from something pushed by Glenn Beck.

Historia
American freedom is being gutted. Whether we are trying to run a business, practice a vocation, raise our families, cooperate with our neighbors, or follow our religious beliefs, we run afoul of the government—not because we are doing anything wrong but because the government has decided it knows better. When we object, that government can and does tell us, “Try to fight this, and we’ll ruin you.”

You will hear a withering and clear-eyed critique about (but not for) intellectuals that explores their impact on public opinion, policy, and society at large.

Peee Uuuuuu
Revisado: 01-27-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
What a terrible book
Would you ever listen to anything by Kathleen Nadeau and Judith Kolberg again?
No Way would I ever listen to anything they wrote
How could the performance have been better?
Lisa Renee Pitts couldn't read a first grade book about Dick Jane and Sally without hesitation. You could tell when she was turning the pages of the book.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life?
I'd cut out all the stupid suggestions that made up this stupid book
Any additional comments?
Total waste of time. I'd rather read eighth grade compositions.

Historia
A match at bowls was being played in which Drake and other high officers of the fleet were engaged, when a small armed vessel was seen running before the wind into Plymouth Harbor, with all sails set. Her commander landed in haste, and eagerly sought the place where the English lord admiral and his captains were standing. He was master of a Scottish privateer, and he told the English officers that he had that morning seen the Spanish Armada off the Cornish coast.

Not what I expected.
Revisado: 01-27-14
What would have made Under Drake's Flag better?
it was supposed to be theater in audiobook form and it was just some old monosyllabic fool reading a book.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The whole thing stunk
How could the performance have been better?
Do what it was advertised to do which was to be engaging and entertaining. I'd never subject my grandchildren to this boring an account of some very important history lessons.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Great disappointment.
Any additional comments?
Don't advertise it as one thing and then sell something else. What a waste of time.
