Honestly, listen to this book. it's good.
It's pretty good, thought out, erotica. It's a pretty good storyline. The characters are engaging and get a fair but of development/ growth.

solid gamelit story but somebody got a thesaurus
Revisado: 05-22-20
felt engaged throughout the story. actively wanted to know what happened next. (literally bought book 2 halfway through book 1.)
my only complaint is the frequency of words like creature, tower, or tree within seconds of each other. just wish he would occasionally switch up the descriptive word choices.
definitely worth a listen.

Historia
Elves were supposed to be gone, defeated in the great war. Magic is practiced behind closed doors, and only by the elites. All I was trying to do was survive, maybe with a bit more curiosity about my master's magic than I should've allowed. He caught me snooping, and sent me on a quest to steal a magic scroll. A quest that would change my life.

ok story, not a great narrator.
Revisado: 07-07-19
Narrator has trouble doing female voices. No cohesive accent for the nation the mc is in. story is ok for a first book in a series.

Wow, I want the next one.
Revisado: 03-16-18
This is a cheap, cliche, fast-food driven work of erotic fiction. I mean this in the absolute BEST way possible.
The characters are a little 2D and the writer knows it. But I still end up caring about what happens to them. This is partly due to the excellent narration.
I honestly wish each individual book was longer and more fleshed out with action/ erotic scenes. And other species interactions could be played up a bit. That said I'm happy with it and I will buy the next one.

Decent take on the genre, bad execution
Revisado: 02-15-18
I rarely write these reviews, however I felt the need to do so because of the appalling narrating. Any half decent narrator will do a few voices. the bad ones just recycle 3 or 4. This woman used the same monotone voice for the entire book. one of the characters has an Irish accent. The main character exclaims about it. We as the listeners will never here that due to the narrator never bothering to try. And if I have to hear her mispronounce another simple word, I may throw my phone. It feels like she was being blackmailed to read this book.
The book itself has a few major things that kept taking me out of the story. I constantly questioned the motivations of the main character. she seemed to be a little too well adjusted to heavily traumatic events. The author repeatedly glosses over chances to describe events in detail. I read great descriptions of the clothes and stores but not a lot about how they got there.
With that said, I enjoyed the take on vampires. by the end I was Interested in finding out how and why she has her powers and if her "relationship" will ever pan out. If this book is on sale for around $4 then I can say it is an ok filler between good books. But don't pay anything close to full price.
side note: if you were to add up the number of times someone cries Instead of describing their emotions, you would have enough to tears to fill the Pacific Ocean. Three times.

Arthur Curie never expected to wind up in Hell. At least, not because he found an ancient sword in a pawnshop. To make matters worse, Hell isn't as he thought. It's a desolate wasteland under siege by an all-consuming void known as the Darkness.

Good idea mediocre execution.
Revisado: 09-29-17
I'll start by saying I liked the overall direction of the book. It is definitely a book written from the male fantasy perspective and it has some "guy fantasy moments that would have been more amusing had the author spaced them out more. my main issues with the book come from the lack of a coherent timeline from the beginning and a lack of development of the world. the author does not take time to truly flesh out the world with details (and if your going to give the story D&D elements then you need to at least do that)
I also found myself not caring about whether characters lived or died because they had so little development as people and little relation to the main character.
ultimately if your into harem books and it's o sale for 2-5 bucks then give it a shot. but any more than that and you may be dissapointed.
