Historia
Dalinar Kholin's Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost. The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.

A great book, just not for me
Revisado: 04-17-25
I cannot deny that this series is well written and has some good world building. That being said, I just don't feel like this series is for me. I find myself gradually disliking more and more viewpoints as I continue reading. Combine this with the feeling that despite the window dressings, the stories feels very grounded in modern times I find it hard to continue. I may end up finishing the series but it will be only when there's nothing else.

Historia
In a blink, I found myself in an unknown land, greeted by the textbox of an unfriendly system. It wanted me to become a great hero, save the world, win the love of the people and all that crap. But this new world already had a hero. Why should I bust my ass, deal with dragons and the unknown, for people I didn't know? Let him deal with that. It's his job! So instead of being tempted by the system's nonsense, I chose a simple class. Potion maker. I wasn't interested in cultivating mana and defying the heavens, courting death, none of that crap.

Overall a good read but MCs attitude is a bit much
Revisado: 02-24-25
Good, "comfort food level" read. Only issue is how reluctant the MC is. He constantly monologues about how he's not a hero, doesn't want to get stronger and doesn't want to fight. All the while he is the hero, gets strong and fights. Its very tedious having to rehash this every few chapters.

Historia
Arthur Leywin's quest for the power he knows only as Fate becomes even more pressing as his most dangerous foes gain a terrible new power. When the war between the dragons of Epheotus and the basilisks of Alacrya erupts across Dicathen, the people Arthur cares about most find themselves trapped in a clash of deities. The only way to master Fate and protect them, though, is to place them directly in harm's way in the ultimate gambit.

There's half a decent audiobook in here somewhere
Revisado: 01-15-25
Pro tip: Just skip Elizabeth's chapters and read the book chapters instead. Once you hear the sharp in takes of breath between each sentence you won't be able to ignore them. That's not to mention her portrayal of Regis. Anyways, Travis is on point and the story is very fun. Arthur's journey into the mysteries of fate is very compelling. Cannot wait for the final book and conclusion. I will be more hesitant about buying the next audio book though.

Dorian’s made it out of the Auction like a bandit, but he’s still got a tough road ahead. The megalomaniacal Jez has most of the Multiverse in his grasp. Dorian’s the only thing standing in the way of him and total Multiversal domination. And there’s only one way to stop him. It’s time for Dorian to return to those past realms he’d long conquered and retrieve his Godking bodies. It’s time to Speedrun the Multiverse.

One of my all time favorites
Revisado: 09-23-24
Excellent ending. Dorian musings on time are poignant and satisfying. His arch was grounded. Great supporting characters. The world and cultivation were unique and fun. All around a very fun read. My only issue would be that maybe you could argue that the ending was a tad rushed, but with every other author sandbagging for 20+ books it was a breath of fresh air. Much thanks to the author.

Historia
The battle of the dead was won, but at a great cost. Sion, leader of the Mist Village, was left with only pain and regret as Richter was claimed by the abyss. What no one but the abandoned chaos seed knows is that he narrowly avoided the curse of the lich Singh, a curse that still hangs above his head. Now, surrounded by miles of darkness and tons of crushing rock, Richter has to find his way back into the light.

Its unfortunate the author had a mid-series crisis
Revisado: 08-17-24
The books is pretty good. Good listen. But it feels like for whatever reason the author is done with this story. This is also the book that has cemented Richter as a very noticeable self-insert for me. Distractingly so. The biggest sin of this book however is the lack of progress. You either die a 3 book trilogy or you live long enough for your author to die or get bored. A pillar of the litRPG genre brought low by hubris.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Jason is just someone I can't really get behind. He is obnoxious and arrogant in all the wrong areas. I might try just skipping a few books and see what happens but I got about half way through and put this one down.

Great contination to the story
Revisado: 08-17-24
The main antagonist is compelling and a great foil to Dorian's character. My only gripe with this book 2 is a HUGE spoiler. The ending. It was good, but a detail of it was... disappointing. Wish they would have lived. I won't say anymore.

Historia
Behold the Multiverse! Its countless realms overflow with terrific opportunities and terrible dangers—warring sects, priceless treasures, martial techniques, and all manner of horrible monsters abound. And Dorian has conquered them all. He’s a Godking—one of the most powerful creatures to ever exist. And as he sits from his throne at the literal summit of the world, bored out of his mind, one question comes to mind: what now? Do it all again, of course! But faster.

Awesome take on cultivation
Revisado: 08-17-24
Really like the cultivation details. It was fun watching Dorian get stronger. The characters were interesting and acted mostly reasonable. I also like how detached Dorian was and how that effected him and people around him. If you were an all powerful god you wouldn't care about someones sister or tribe you were using to spring board back into godhood. It took a bit to get used to but made sense in the story. As a reader you have a bit of an attachment to IO's family and tribe and so Dorian's coldness can be off putting at first but I thought it was a nice detail. And I look forward to Dorian growing a bit in this sense as the story continues. Favorite character has to be Fate.
