Historia
Deep in the muddy fields of the Lincolnshire Fens, a teenage girl is found wandering, delirious, claiming to have been drugged at a party. Metres away, the drowned body of another girl is found on an isolated beach. And all this on a small stretch of land where, nearly 10 years ago, the shocking disappearance of a young girl remains an open case.

Not a waste of time, not a blockbuster
Revisado: 02-14-25
My first listen by this author. Good pacing throughout, characters felt well developed. I was disappointed when they brought up DID as it's a rather overused plot twist, but ended up quite tickled with how things turned out, glad it wasn't pursued too much! Love that the epilogue was a whole 12 months later, reflecting a more realistic timeline compared to a case simply being over and done with in a week.
While Richard Armitage has an impressive grasp of accents, I frequently felt confused about who was talking, or if the protagonist was speaking aloud versus thinking. I do appreciate his variety, grateful this team understands that not all males have a deep voice or thick accent. His female voices could use some work, though it's difficult to imagine with a deep range like his. A solid listen to relax to (sort of!), but I found it difficult to do anything that required my logical brain. Recommend for passive automatic activities, such as chores. Not a blockbuster, but not a waste of time.

Timely gun story

This well researched book is painful yet hopeful. Co-authors reading makes it more personal. It is indeed time for reasonable solutions to reduce our gun violence.

Excellent

Genesis 1, the involvement of TriuneGod in the beginning of humanity, and disparate views or theories of this, makes so much more sense to me now. Genesis 1 describes the setting in of the functions required by humanity, and the inauguration of The King in this cosmos, all made for the benefit of humanity. Thank you TriuneGod.
