Loved it
Revisado: 02-01-17
Although the ending is a little too tidy, the journey there was very pleasant, the characters fully drawn and the setting magical.

Historia
Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Thoroughly enjoyable listening
Revisado: 12-29-11
Would you consider the audio edition of The Hunger Games to be better than the print version?
I enjoyed it very much since the reader is enthusiastic and reads clearly. What one does miss, of course, is the spelling of names etc. Many of my students prefer to listen to books because the book is read so fluently and it comes alive when read well.
What did you like best about this story?
There is a fair amount of violence in the narrative but it is not too graphic. The suspense at the end of chapters keeps you enthralled.
Have you listened to any of Carolyn McCormick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No - but I really enjoyed this one.
Any additional comments?
After listening to this, I couldn't wait to get the sequels.
