Agonizing narration
Revisado: 01-20-23
I’m sad to write this review.
Narrator has a lovely voice but doesn’t know how to use it.
Advice to the narrator: read the chapter ahead of time before narrating.
Remember, there are no periods after every word…
Practice practice practice, and maybe you can narrate another book.
Advice to listeners: Listen on x1.1 or 1.2 speed to make it bearable.

Mary Jane Wells is truly Amazing, she’s quickly becoming my favorite narrator for this genre (along with the master Rosalyn Landor) With a rich voice, good character differentiation, excellent tone and pace. An audible treat for your ears!

What a Gem! Fun, witty, complex love story.
Revisado: 09-22-20
This book was such a surprise, What a Gem for this genre!
Well written love story, complex characters, funny and witty banter along with some obstacles and deep emotions.
Story: 5 stars. I disagree with others, this book is not too long.
The love story develop gradually, characters are developed more deeply, we are invited into the relationship and understand why the characters fall in love with each other. And along the way, we fall in love with them.
Side characters are interesting, and I look forward to reading more books in the series.
Bravo Mia Vincy, keep writing please, and producing audiobooks!
Narration: 5 stars. It is superb as always. Kate reading has a rich voice, narrates and acts beautifully, distinguishes between characters and acts men voices well. She also adds a subtle comedic undertone, that is priceless. It’s like a vacation for my ears :-)
Heat factor: simmering to hot, as part of a committed relationship.
Highly recommended!

This book is even better than Book 1. Well done Julia Brannan!
Intelligent writing, historical details and continued building of characters. It reveals a few great surprises and adds other secrets to continue the story to the next book.
Be advised that this series does need to be read in order, as the story develops directly from book to book.
You can’t have a better narration than this, it is artfully edited and feature with two of the best narrators for audiobooks.

Really Bad :( ...Not recommended !
Revisado: 10-08-19
Had potential but....
Sorry to say this about any book, but the writing is not good, the story is immature and full of cliches. I rolled my eyes a lot, and seriously forced myself to finish listening.
Narrator was pretty good, and that is the only reason I could continue listening. But even this talented narrator couldn’t save this audiobook.

Treat your ears, Rosalyn Landor is AMAZING!
Revisado: 09-22-18
THE BOTTOM LINE
Story: 3.5 stars, cute, original and humorous modern romance
Performance: 5 stars, AMAZING, a real treat.
Relationship/ heat: nice, slow simmer
Overall: 4 stars, very enjoyable, easy summer read. Worth the credit!
THE BIG PICTURE
Others wrote about the book, which is delightful and entertaining, but I had to write about the amazing narration by Rosalyn Landor. Any book narrated by her is a treat for your ears!
I have always been a fan, but I listened to historical novels narrated by Ms. Landor, and thought that she was perfect for that genre. I was pleasently surprised to hear this contemporary narration so different and so on point! It was wonderful!
RL is able to change her voice, her pace, her accent and her intonation to fit the period of each book and each character beautifully.
Ms. Landor has a beautiful rich voice, adapting different voices to each character, and she is especially gifted with male voices. It is remarkable how she is able to distinguish between characters in such a masterful manner.
RL achieves what very few narrators are able to do, she actually acts, performing the book WITHOUT OVER ACTING.
A real treat, enjoy!

Not a Pleasure...Confused book, Disappointing!
Revisado: 07-28-18
BOTTOM LINE
Story: 2 stars, had potential but confused
Performance: 2 stars, over dramatic, distracting
Relationship/heat: not well developed, based on physical attraction, a lot of ‘sex’, sizzling heat.
Overall: 2 stars, just ok. Maybe next book in series will make sense.
BIG PICTURE
I hate to write it. I usually really love Sarah MacLean, so I was looking forward to this title. But it just OK. The Series actually has an interesting premise, and it is intriguing, but somehow it becomes tedious and confused. It seems the author is relying on intense physical attraction to create the relationship of the main couple, seriously overused the word “ Pleasure“ in descriptions of intimacy, and its hard to keep track of the characters and their roles.
Maybe it's the over dramatic narration that distracts from the story, but I was waiting for it to end...
I usually like Justine Eyre as well, but in this one she over acts, and over emphasize certain words (Pleasure pronouced PLEAAsure), so they sound ridiculous. There should be a certain finesse and subtlety to reading sex scenes, which is lacking here.
OVERALL disappointing, I can’t even tell if it’s the story or narration, maybe the next book in series will be better and make sense . Not worth a credit, SORRY.

Bad! Enough said!
Revisado: 04-28-18
The Bootom Line:
Story: 0.5 star for effort. Really bad, stupid dialogue, after 7.5 hrs I just couldn’t finish this book.
Performance: 3.5 stars. Bianca Amato was great, Jonathan Davis was ok. But even their talent could not save this book.
Relationship/heat: odd development, shallow characters, bad. Some attempts at steamy scenes didn’t deliver.
Overall: Don't do it, not worth it even free, not worth your time!
The Big Picture:
Very sad to write this.I prefer to love a book.
