The depth of complexity

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
A number of times I went back a few chapters to listen again as there was so much going on I needed to clarify my understanding.
Highly recommend; I was sorry when it came to an end.

Historia
The nearly half-million American air crewmen who served during World War II have almost disappeared. And so have their stories. Award-winning writer and former fighter pilot Jay A. Stout uses Unsung Eagles to save an exciting collection of those accounts from oblivion. These are not rehashed tales from the hoary icons of the war. Rather, they are stories from the masses of largely unrecognized men who - in the aggregate - actually won it.

An interesting listen

As a non American, I found the more honest view refreshing. Clearly there were tough times, particularly with the lack of experienced trainers to move things along.
Well narrated which kept my attention.

Historia
A rousing tale of espionage and unsung valor, this is the captivating true story of Vera Atkins, Great Britain's spymistress from the age of 25. With her fierce intelligence, blunt manner, personal courage, and exceptional informants, Vera ran countless missions throughout the 1930s. After rising to the leadership echelon in the Special Operations Executive (SOE), a covert intelligence agency formed by Winston Churchill, she became head of a clandestine army in World War II.

Poor narration
Revisado: 10-03-20
This is a great story that should be redone with a good British narrator.
It also sounds as though it is running at the wrong speed.
My advice is to give it a miss as becomes frustrating to listen to. I gave up.
