A Terrific Story!

I’ve listened to a lot of litRPG over the last few years and this story is absolutely one of the very best. Cannot wait to get to book two.

The narrators are awesome as well, but the music that is occasionally used rubs my nerves all wrong. It’s my taste, but the production would’ve been better without it.

Absolute Enjoyment

This was an excellent story, well produced, and well narrated. I had trouble stopping it so I could sleep. It hit all the bells for me and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

A Great Story!

I picked up this series looking for some litRPG (my new addiction) that wasn't the same as everything else. I got what I needed, though I hadn't known what I was really getting until I experienced it. This book mixes science fiction, fantasy, and game elements in a way that I wasn't sure where the story was going to end up but enjoyed the ride.

The one caveat that I had for this was having two narrators. Others might not be bothered, but I would've just preferred the male voice or the female voice rather than having the male do most of the narration and the female doing the female roles. That's just taste on my part as the narrators were individually top notch.

If you're not listening to this series, you should be.

A Very Entertaining Story

This book was fun, and silly in all the places one might expect of a LitRPG based on old video games. The narration was terrific, too. I’ll be looking at the sequel one day, I’m sure.

A good start to a great world

Kevin McLaughlin puts together a great world that I can’t wait to explore further. You’ll be rooting for the heroine who is smart and rough enough to make her way in an unexpected and challenging world. Jennifer O’Donnell has a great performance.

Keeping the flames coming

Book three kept things coming for the heroes. It dragged in a few places but was a solid addition to the series. I’m caught up now and will have to wait for book four. Sigh.

Picked up the story and ran with it

This second installment upped the game for our heroes and their friends. I loved it. The scope of their problems keeps growing and I can’t wait to see where this goes.

A wonderful start to a series

This book more than lived up to my expectations. A great world and interesting characters. Already have book 2 and am ready to rock.

My only disappointments we in how the narrator added things to the performance that were already covered by the narration.

For example, the narrator saying someone laughed and then laughing.

The characters had their moments that detracted too, but not too bad.

In all, those were minor. Get the book. Enjoy.

A great story

This was an imaginative and exciting story with great characters. The only negative was the weird effects they did during certain flashbacks. Really distracting. Overall, well done though.

Far better than I’d hoped it would be

His story appealed to me in a way that is hard to describe. It filled a void I wasn’t aware was there. Already into book two and can’t wait to see where this goes.
