There's so much showing that we're nearly f**ked as a country if we don't do something quick. Granted, being written by a demon, he's trying to convince us that we're already too late, but that's just Deace trying to fire you up for defiance. Only real problem is that the facts pile on so fast, it's easy to forget nearly every bit of it. So it's needs to be read multiple times, which I recommend.

Something new and exciting, if a little shallow

Great story with fun characters. My only issues are that the world doesn't seem quite as fleshed out as I would like and the favorable twists were almost all really easy to see coming. But that could just be my familiarity with Butcher's writing style.

Holy Hell, Dude!

I've always loved how well these audiobooks could get my eyes to well up with tears, but this one got full-blown crying out of me! The Dresden books will never be the same again! The changes here are likely bigger than from Changes.

Very Enjoyable, if a little predictable

My biggest issue with the performance is emphasizing the wrong words sometimes. For example, "I just hope he would guard my body instead of oggling it." You would emphasize "guard" and probably "oggling". But the performer emphasized "body" amd "oggling". I hear this plenty from lots of performers, but this book did it twice (maybe 3btimes?) in a short story. It annoys me. But I nitpick.

I figured out the baddy weakness before Spiderman. IDK if I got lucky, but it seems like a weak contrivance to have extended the time Spidey took to figure it out. And the moral of the story was also pretty easy to see, considering Dr. Strange told Pete what it was near the beginning.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the story. I can definitely see a fair bit Butcher's writing style in there, but it was still definitely a Spidey story.

Starts Slow

I almost shut it off early because it takes a bit too long to pick up pace. Unfortunately, it still doesn't end up with the pace that I wanted, but that's my preference. The story was intriguing nonetheless.
