Historia
Darrow would have lived in peace, but his enemies brought him war. The Gold overlords demanded his obedience, hanged his wife, and enslaved his people. But Darrow is determined to fight back. Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society's mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within.

A Great Ending to A Great Saga
Revisado: 02-17-16
The Morning Star, the 3rd book of the Red Rising Trilogy is a great ending to a great saga. There are ups and downs, sometimes to my disappointment that Darrow and his friends are not perfect. Well, they are just human. They make MISTAKES and that makes this story although is a fantasy but also believable.
I would think that this is the best of the trilogy. It is as fast paced as book 2 and also as satisfying as book 1. The characters are more mature, more developed which makes a great clash of charactera, sometimes between enemies but also between allies. There are some deaths which is dissapointing personally for me because I root so much for them, but in the end it what makes us care about the characters.
The narration is great, love it very much. I feel that I can see the character in the voice of the narrator. I can feel the terrifying Jackal, the poet Rogue, the likeable Mustang and the brave Darrow. This audiobook makes me believe that listening to audiobook gives a more satifying experience of fiction than reading or watching movie.

Very entertaining
Revisado: 01-29-15
I find the first book, Steel Heart quite ok, but i found this book is much much better. The story reads like a detective novel with awkard metaphores... Or similes. Love the clues for the Epic's weakness.
The performance of the narrator is superb. Not a single character's voice is mistmatch.

Ok, but too short
Revisado: 01-28-15
Story is too short, nothing too unexpected. I heard this after I heard Firefight, so I already know the ending. The better part is the performance of the narrator that is superb. Quite entertaining.

Historia
Michael Lewis, the Master of the Big Story, is back with Flash Boys. If you thought Wall Street was about alpha males standing in trading pits hollering at each other, think again. That world is dead. Now, the world's money is traded by computer code, inside black boxes in heavily guarded buildings. Even the experts entrusted with your cash don't know what's happening to it. And the very few who do aren't about to tell - because they're making a killing.

Interesting
Revisado: 01-20-15
This is my first book and audiobook of Michael Lewis. I found the story quite interesting, but for several time I was lost in the techinal details. Maybe this kind of book is just not the type to be heard once. But the essence of the story is very clear and the message is encouraging, that being good can also be benificial in Wallstreet.

I don't learn much.
Revisado: 10-28-13
Would you try another book from Josh Kaufman and/or Josh Kaufman?
This is my second book from Josh Kaufman. I read the Personal MBA, not from audiobook. I think Josh has a give to write in a simple, easy to understand way. So, yeah, I will perhaps buy another book of Josh, but not the audiobook.
Has The First 20 Hours turned you off from other books in this genre?
No. I like personal development book and I think this book has something to offer that is very unique.
How could the performance have been better?
I think Josh is not the best narrator even for his own book (sorry Josh). Perhaps it will be better to use professional narrator.
Did The First 20 Hours inspire you to do anything?
Yes, the first 20 hours inspire me to learn Golf.
Any additional comments?
I feel a bit disappointed because I have read the article by Josh before reading the book, and I don't find anything more valuable from the book.
Also the examples that Josh gave in the book does not interest me at all. I don't want to learn yoga, programming, windsurfing, or typing. And this part bored me so much, which is maybe 70% of the book (well, maybe not that much, but in boredom time feels longer).

Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his will. Nobody fights the Epics...nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them. And David wants in. He wants Steelheart - the Epic who is said to be invincible. The Epic who killed David's father.

Good story, Ok narration
Revisado: 10-28-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, because the story is very good, and the fantasy background is very interesting. The description of dark super heroes is very intriguing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Steelheart?
Spoiler Alert!!!
My favourite moment is when David realize that Prof is an epic.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator is not very good in narrating female character, especially Megan. The female voice is not enjoyable.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not really. The pace of this book is quite interesting. But it is only fast paced in 2 moment. The moment when they want to capture Conflux and the final battle with Steelheart.
Any additional comments?
The narrator is quite good in impersonating male character, but I dislike his female character voice, especially Megan. Other than that, I think this audio book is above average, and will recommend this to any Brandon Sanderson fan.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Great Story, Superb Narrators
Revisado: 10-28-13
Would you consider the audio edition of The Way of Kings to be better than the print version?
Yes. All because of the narrators' skillful way of reading.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Way of Kings?
The moment when Dalinar Kholin confront Sadeas after escaping the trap.
What about Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s performance did you like?
The best I ever heard. Their voice is clear, and the intonation bring life to the chararacter.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Life before death. Strength before weakness.
Any additional comments?
This is one of my favourite fantasy book of all time. The story is fantastic, the plot is great and the characters are very colourful, strong and mysterious. The narrators did a great job in bringing life to the characters. I have heard the best part of the audio book more than 5 times already, and will probably more in the future. The long hour of the audio book is not long enough for me. I want more.

Historia
It Worked for Me is filled with vivid experiences and lessons learned that have shaped the legendary career of the four-star general and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. At its heart are Powell's "Thirteen Rules" - such as "Get mad, then get over it" and "Share credit" - that introduce his principles for effective leadership: conviction, hard work, and, above all, respect for others. A natural storyteller, Powell offers warm and engaging parables with wise advice on succeeding in the workplace and beyond.

A Compilation onf Tales from A Soldier
Revisado: 06-11-13
If you could sum up It Worked for Me in three words, what would they be?
Leadership stories.
What other book might you compare It Worked for Me to and why?
I would like to compare this book to Jack Welch's 'Winning' because both books comes from experienced and the best leader in their fields. Also both of the authors deals so much with mananging, motivating and leading people.
Which character – as performed by Colin Powell – was your favorite?
Colin Powell.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laugh several times at Gen. Powel's jokes. I especially love it when he chuckles when reading a funny story about himself. It showed how humble he is and not taking himself too seriously.
Any additional comments?
I love books like this that is read by the author himself.
