Historia
From Mark Greaney, the New York Times best-selling author of Mission Critical and a coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels, comes another high-stakes thriller featuring the world's most dangerous assassin: the Gray Man. While on a mission to Croatia, Court Gentry uncovers a human trafficking operation. The trail leads from the Balkans all the way back to Hollywood. Court is determined to shut it down, but his CIA handlers have other plans. The criminal ringleader has actionable intelligence about a potentially devastating terrorist attack on the US.

Different style to the previous Gray Man books
Revisado: 07-19-20
Found this one difficult to get into, mainly due to the way the narrator had to switch between reading the story and the first person account of the lead character.
I had to come back to it quite a few times, close to a quarter of the book, before I listened to it until the end
I much prefer how the previous books where read

It's OK but nothing ground breaking
Revisado: 07-04-17
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Given that the series has so many installments, it really is hard to tie in a refreshing story. That said, I think the series needs to go back to the basics - Jack Ryan Snr.
The Jack Ryan Jnr character to me is too unbelievable, and to much action hero
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The ending was a little abrupt, and I had to re-listen to it as I thought I'd missed a chapter. No real twists and turns, it all played out as I'd expected really
Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?
No real stand outs, however I can' knock the narration. It was pretty good
Any additional comments?
The series needed a re-vamp, which I thought the new author would bring - however I found it to meander along using similar twist and turns as previous books in the series
They need to get back to basics, Jack Ryan Snr, John Clark and the CIA. Jack Ryan Jnr is too much of an action hero, and the series has lost all the charm, intrigue and realistic action that got me hooked on the series to begin with
It's an OK book, but not the re-vamp I was expecting with a new author coming on board

Historia
The Arsenal of Democracy tells the incredible story of how Detroit answered the call, centering on Henry Ford and his tortured son Edsel, who, when asked if they could deliver 50,000 airplanes, made an outrageous claim: Ford Motor Company would erect a plant that could yield a “bomber an hour”. Critics scoffed: Ford didn’t make planes; they made simple, affordable cars. But bucking his father’s resistance, Edsel charged ahead.

A very interesting story about the goings on at ford during that time

Historia
When Moslem fundamentalists blow up a key Soviet oil complex, making an already critical oil shortage calamitous, the Russians figure they are going to have to take things into their own hands. They plan to seize the Persian Gulf, and more ambitiously, to neutralise NATO. Thus begins Red Storm, an audacious gamble that uses diplomatic maneuvers to cloak a crash military build-up. When Soviet tanks begin to roll, the West is caught off guard. What looks like a thrust turns into an all-out shooting war, possibly the climactic battle for control of the globe.

Excellent book, plenty to keep you listening
Revisado: 11-07-14
Would you listen to Red Storm Rising again? Why?
I have re-listened to sections of the book, it has quite a lot of detail which suits a second listen
What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Storm Rising?
The battle descriptions
What does Michael Prichard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Consistency with a lot of the other Clancy books I've listened to. He's become the go to voice of the earlier Clancy novels
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, there is a lot to digest
Any additional comments?
Excellent book, well worth a listen. I would rate it in my top 3 of Clancy novels

If you could sum up On Target in three words, what would they be?
This book is an excellent follow up to the first in the series. The story flows well and doesn't have you scratching your head trying to figure out how the story is unfolding.
Plenty of action and small twist and turns, all which make for entertaining listening.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Court Gentry
What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?
Jay Snyder's performance is quite acceptable, the ability to take on and distinguish the different characters makes him easy to listen too

Being President doesn't make things any easier, Jack Ryan finds out, especially when trouble's brewing in Moscow and China. Blending the exceptional realism and authenticity that are his hallmarks with intricate plotting, razor-sharp suspense, and a remarkable cast of characters, this is Clancy at his best - and there is none better.

Good, once you get over the Narrator's voice!
Revisado: 12-01-10
This was my first audiobook download, and at first I must say, I was dissapointed! Straight away the Narrator's way he ended the sentences struck a nerve and I thought I'd give up after a few minutes.
I stuck with it over my 45min journey, and although I found it slow going to begin, the story got good enough to over-power my opinion of the Narrator.
Once into the story, I really enjoyed it! I found the Narration got better as the book progressed, and I really looked forward to the next time I got to listen. Overall it was a positive experience, but I can see how others don't like the Narration.
