This book and the author’s Rewilding Workshop is a beautiful breath of fresh air as I shift from a primarily masculine influence in literature. I'm a fan of the classics but after I read The Wolf, The Woman, and The Wilderness by Teresa tsimmu Martino, and Awakening Artemis I was moved to tears by women's connection to nature, something I had lost. I realized my ability to write depends on this connection. And my connection to nature is much-needed soul work for my divine feminine to inspire the sacred but wounded masculine. I'm the daughter of a tortured man; we both grew up in a village of tortured souls and were violated by others who were broken by someone else. This workshop helped me open up with other women to revisit the crack in my cup to meditate on ending the cycle of childhood sexual abuse.
