Doesn't reinvent the wheel

Not every story has to do so, why fix what isn't broken. Too many people are complain about the tropes and all that, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only mark against it is the repetitive stats.

Great story but the growling by the narrator...

In the first book the narration is great, this one though seems like the narrator ends every sentence with a drawn out growwwllllll. It does become quite irritating after a bit. Luckily the story is good enough to override that, however I'm not quite a big fan of the back and forth between characters.

Great book again but...

Kinda feels like Jason's character progression is faltering with the whole "killing people is bad" thing. I get that the author is anti American and capitalism but the way it's being implemented is a bit clunky.

Also if Shirtaloon is so against capitalism, why is the next book almost $40? haha

what a stupid ending

The other reviews all complain about the whole relationship with his dragon which is a bit awkward but had been building up to what it becomes so it didn't really bother me much. The ending of this book however, is just so stupid. They even went over what she needed to do to recover power, had ample sources to eat, and just didn't. Would have been so easy, but instead left it to a stupidly predictable setup. This is the last book from this series for me which is a shame since I thoroughly enjoyed the voice acting and the series before this point.

great follow up

Character building keeps ramping up and enjoying the slow burn. Love the different perspectives and that the hero is not too OP.

I understand why some people are bashing this book but at the same time it was a ridiculous ride and really enjoyable. It's rare that I can't guess a twist but this definitely got me. I'm now hooked to this author.

mediocre story, horrible telling

It wasn't too bad at the start but quickly descended into a drag due to the narrators reading it like a children's bedtime story. The story itself was fine for the most part but the need to add gender pronoun worries simply made it unbearable.

Got tired

The story just drags on and on and the characters just seem to be in awe of the lame protagonist that doesn't seem to really grow any. The first couple of books were decent, and the story was great but now it just seems to be dragging like it should have ended a book ago.

Great ending

While the ending was great, a lot of the middle was just soooooo stretched out, and I felt like they kept repeating the same silly mistakes and errors.
