It’s long, and the reader is a little monotone, but so worth it! Packed full of so much pharma history and scandal. The corrupt powers that be and their schemes are talked about in this book.

Great book for the learner

For people who like to learn, and think critically, this is a great book as food for thought. I found it enlightening on several American history things.  he also gave many good ideas for modifying the teaching of American history. I highly recommend this book.

You’re Normal

Great book covering all aspects of women’s sexuality! The physical anatomy, the psychological and the emotional. Helpful and caring affirmations that “you are normal”. I’ll definitely be sharing this with other women, but men who have sex with women would definitely benefit from this information!

Great for anyone who engages with children regularly

This is wonderful information as a parent. I wish I read it before my children were born, but it’s never too late to become more emotionally intelligent yourself and help your children to become more emotionally intelligent. It also provides many examples of how an adult can interact with a child and help them understand their emotions, so this would be great for grandparents, teachers and others who regularly engage with the same kids.

A good listen even in 2023

The narrator was very good! I had a hard time “putting the book down”. Great content and encouragement with perspective on what’s actually important in a relationship.

Overall a good perspective on friendships

I enjoyed the book overall. I think Lane did a great job narrating her book. I laughed many times, her raw sense of humor was great. I had several moments of tears as it brought up memories of lost friendships or glad tears for the friends I do have. She made many good points about the work friendships require and the give and take that should happen. I only wish she didn’t use some bad words, like the f*** word, which was maybe 15 or so times in the book, then it might be something I could listen to with my kids or having them in earshot. Had I done more research on Lane (watched some of her comedy for example), I would have been able to guess her writing style.

A great marriage book!

This book was full of great marriage advice, good reminders, and great questions for creating or building a stronger marriage relationship. I highly recommend it. I have read and listened to many books on marriage. This referenced a couple that I have read before, but definitely good points to make and good reminders. I appreciate that he went into sex topics more deeply and referenced Song of Solomon in depth. Many of his points were backed by science or statistics that were current in 2012. Many of the statistics have only gotten worse since, but it was still staggering even then.

Entertaining, thought provoking and a little scary

For as old as this book is, 1984 was way in the future. The storyline looks like the future we have looming in the year 2030, based on what political figureheads say today. Scary.
