I tried to finish this book. It was just beyond boring. I found myself thinking about my shopping list and other things while listening. Very rarely do I not finish a book. This one is a rarity.

I enjoyed book one in the series so I was excited to read Cry for Help. Sad to say, the first was much better. I just couldn’t get into this book and I found myself shopping online while I listened to it.

It’s not terrible, just blah.

Holes (one of the detectives on the case was the main narrator. He is fabulous. I finished this book in less than 24 hours. Just gripping.

I enjoyed the beginning of the story. The middle is a lot of push and pull, up and down between the 2 main characters. Then 3/4 of the way through the book, a mysterious unnecessary character is introduced. The ending fell flat. Much better books out there.

I read this book because I like the narrator and the synopsis sounded interesting. Wow, was I wrong.
The writing was simple and the plot was boring. I had to push my way through it. With so many good books out there, why waste money in one that’s is sub par?

Dreadful

I listen to at least 2 audiobooks a week. This could have been the worst I have ever read. The narrator was beyond annoying when he had to do female voices. The story was boring. The writing seemed like it had been written by a teenager. I read through to the end thinking it would get better. It didn’t.
