Mostly Familiar Encouraging Words

I liked the book. Giglio’s message was a good, but it was a familiar one. I have dealt with anxiety, so I have looked up many of the Biblical references. There were a few new concepts that I liked, and I think the questions at the end of chapters was a nice addition. I think this would be best listened to/read one chapter a day, instead of reading/listening to the entire book all at once.

Another Fun Book from Scott Meyer

I have listened to almost all of Scott Meyers books and this was another fun entry. I could not have predicted several of the things that happen along the way. I appreciate the unexpected turns in the narrative that make perfect sense looking back at them in retrospect,

I hope this adventure will continue in further books. Luke Daniel’s performance is fantastic as always.

Enjoyable Follow-Up Story

The duo of author Scott Meyers and narrator Luke Daniels is one of my favorite combinations. I found the second book in the series enjoyable, but I liked the first Authorities novel more. Looking forward to the next installment.

Flanagan Weaves a Satisfying Tale

This was the first Flanagan book that I have listened to, and I was impressed by the story and the narrator. I enjoyed the beginning of this series and look forward to more adventures. I especially loved that some small seemingly unimportant details are revealed later to be essential aspects of the story.

Classic Star Wars!

Even though Disney Star Wars calls this a legend now, this is book and series by Timothy Zahn is still one of my favorite Star Wars stories, and Grand Admiral Thrawn is one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Zahn nailed the tone and characters in this book, and Marc Thompson really brings those story to life.

Great Follow Up to Original

Ready Player One is a hard act to follow. Personally, I think Ernest Cline did a great job in this second installment. I thought it was a little slow at the beginning, but once the action gets going, it is another fun nostalgia filled ride. The stakes are somehow raised even higher, and our heroes face new and difficult challenges.

Great Start to This Series!

Ready Player One is by far my favorite novel from this decade. The characters are great. I love all of the 80’s retro references, puzzles and battles. This is such a fun story. Hope the movie is good!

Some of the Stories Were Great; Others Were Little Boring and Repetitive

This was an interesting project. I think some o the stories were great and shed new light on parts of a New Hope, that I enjoyed. I liked the references to Rogue One, and the inclusion of some other new cannon characters.

However, I found a number of these stories were a little boring and honestly repetitive. Several of the stories told the same portion of the movie, from multiple points of views, and as a result, the overall progression of the story dragged, in several places.

My first Agatha Christie Novel

I have grown up hearing references to this story in cartoons and movies, but I have never read the story or seen any of the film adaptations. This was an interesting whodunit, and I was pleased with the detective skills of Poriot. The audio book was performed masterfully by Dan Stevens. He really brought each of the characters to life, each with their own characteristics and accents. Highly recommend this title.
