While I understand that splatterpunk isn't meant to be taken as high art, the fact that this wasn't written by a 15 year old 4chan user is astonishing. While I feel like there is an interesting story underneath the juvenile, borderline hentai-esque sex scene and the over top, gross out torture, the ending just feels anticlimactic. The characters are boring, which I feel people will say is the point, but when they're driving your story, give them more motivation than their sex lives or lack there of. This book is in desperate need of an editor and at least 5 more revisions. The narrator isn't great either as all the female characters sound whiny, and he speeds through the actual Bighead parts like he just wants to be finished with them. If you're looking for extreme horror, fine, you've found it. But that's it, and that's kind of sad.

It's like if David Attenborough made an 8 hour documentary of "1 Man 1 Jar."

Most of my life has been for a lark. If I was a nation my national bird would be a skylark, it's image stitched onto our flag.

I got this series on a lark and on it wings it took me to a fantastic world. It holds nothing in its beak but a song of joy. Just as this book.

There's no doubt that this is a complex story that weaves together a tale that is both depressing and insightful to the human experience. Just wish the narrator used more than 1 voice throughout the story.

it was an overall great book. But at times they would have a full cast doing each part and then go to just a single actor. Hell, sometimes it would be reversed. there's time when I asked myself why are they using voice actors for such a short chapter but when you have 6 plus character we cut back to a single actor.

Also is it too much to ask to actually break up the chapter as they appear in the book over just an hour long stretch and then cut to a new chapter per the audio book. I've had so many books do this and it drives me up the wall and into the hole in my ceiling that I need to fix but haven't because I'm spending money on a service that as messed up chapters layouts when you try to follow a lot when you're at work and no one is bothering you. Plus my ankle hurts and I'm in a great deal of pain.
