Historia
In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women—mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends—view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

Isolated by Mexico's deadly Copper Canyons, the blissful Tarahumara Indians have honed the ability to run hundreds of miles without rest or injury. In a riveting narrative, award-winning journalist and often-injured runner Christopher McDougall sets out to discover their secrets. Ouch!
Revisado: 01-11-09
I don't have a higher education or a vast knowledge of literature. I'm just your average reader who loves a great story and I tend to stick with authors whom I trust; and there's a lot of them. Wroblewski, with his amazing gift of prose, led me through many hours of delightful reading. My armor was stripped away masterfully with each chapter until my heart lay open and bare for Edgar, Alondine, and Trudy......only to be ripped to shreads. I was telling everyone I new what a wonderful experience I was having as I listened to this book and even bought a hard cover copy (I like to read as I listen sometimes) that I was going to give to my grandmother to read. Not anymore. I think the average reader will be extremely disappointed. The intelectual types will thrive and debate. Me? I'm glad I read it and now have a new layer of "sawtelle" armor. Ultimately I've just found another author whom I cannot trust and will not read him again. But I will always read, read, read. On to the next one.

Historia
Marty Kihn was the nicest guy in the world, until he got fed up with being passed over for promotions at work, tired of being suckered into walking his neighbor's dog, and sick of being disrespected by the man who sold him his morning coffee. On the day he turned 40, Kihn set out to transform himself from Mr. Nice Guy into a rule-breaking, power-mongering, Fox News-watching asshole.

An inspirational journey of self discovery. I loved it. I laughed out loud and was cheering this guy on. Who would have thought my newest hero would be an Asshole.
