Historia
The most popular and beloved American historical novel ever written, Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind is unparalleled in its portrayal of men and women at once larger than life but as real as ourselves. Now best-selling writer Alexandra Ripley brings us back to Tara and reintroduces us to the characters we remember so well: Rhett, Ashley, Mammy, Suellen, Aunt Pittypat, and, of course, Scarlett.

Disappointed
Revisado: 01-21-25
It was drug out far too long. It started interesting and ended far fetched and rushed. After she went to Ireland it fell apart. Rhet making his appearance in the last chapter was far fetched. Irish uprising unneeded drama.

Historia
Jilly Cooper has kept a diary about life on Putney Common. Noting the effects of the changing seasons and writing about her encounters with dogs and humans, Cooper creates an affectionate and enthralling portrait of her everyday life. Cooper writes lyrically about the natural world, tellingly about the sorrows and joys of caring for dogs and children and outrageously about the gossip, illicit romances and jealousies of small community life.

It was a little disturbing how arrogant, irresponsible including the author can behave.

No interest in all the neighbors and their dogs. Jilly had some really uncontrollable dogs. She released out in with other dogs and cats. Cats attacked and killed. No leash law in England at the time?

Wales & Henry 1 Norman Rule
Revisado: 08-11-24
Another interesting Medieval Historical by Elizabeth Chadwick. She takes us to Wales.
Her research is always fascinating on she weaves a Welch Royal take over by Norman Rule. A place in time I knew little about. The very young Welch Princess has quite the story of having little choice after her father is killed in the battle for her homeland. She is marriage matched with a Norman beneath her status with no choice however he is a good honest man while their lives are not the easiest together because of the mixed status and backgrounds. He works hard to give her a comfortable life and many children to replace her family loss. They make the best of her dangerous pride and strong will. She makes some immature decisions that affect her marriage and her standing with the Norman Crown. She finally wakes up to the fact that she has a husband who is a good man.

Romance author Riley Cooper always dreamed of living by the water. But within a day of landing in the charming seaside town of Port Stewart to work on her latest book, she's getting calls and texts for some dude on her new number. Weird ones. Sad ones. Sexy ones. Ones that make her want to meet him. For curiosity's sake...if nothing else.

A disappointing story
Revisado: 07-31-24
I have been a Kylie Scott fan however this book was not her previous caliber. The story line was juvenile and disappointing. The characters were all so far fetched and not interesting. Boring no real substance. I had to force myself to listen until the end.

Good beginning for Dive Bar Series.
Revisado: 03-30-17
Love rocker stories which Kylie Scott can write winners. So much fun to visit Stage Dive Mal Erickson hilarious character again.
Vaughn is introduced in the last Stage Dive book #4 Deep. He was a sexy rocker who had a good heart which for me immediately caught my interest in his Dive Bar #1 Dirty return home after 10 years on the road. Now he must find a place there again since his band broke up.
Witty, fun rocker cool characters just roll out of Kylie Scott which are always entertaining. Looking forward to next #2 book Twist coming in April 2017.
