Historia
Short stories from the mind of Lori Fontanez will take you on a journey through the dark, the alien, fear of the denizens of fable and the unknown. Wound through them all is a dread of what we are incapable of...and the threat of what we can become. In these stories, you'll face what plagues us from beyond our comprehension and what stalks us from our own backyard. Come play in the shadows and don't be alarmed - it isn't the darkness that bites, it's what lurks within.

Just an outstanding job done by the narrator and the author. This book held my interest and I couldn't wait until the next scene. The writer wrote in such excruciating detail, I really felt I was observing each scene. Well done!.

Historia
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

Historia
The people that tried to kill the world almost succeeded. They were fiendishly clever but they didn't take into account the vets, the truckers, and the two-fisted fighters who didn't know how to give up. Gunny and his band of survivors continue their journey along the Zombie Road, saving as many as they can along the way. They power through the undead hordes with their modified semi-trucks to beat the ticking clock of nuclear meltdowns.

Unlike most sequels, this book did not lose its edge that the series had gained since book 1. Simpson does a great job tying everything together to make this a very interesting and entertaining series. I can't wait for Book 3.

Historia
There are no happily ever afters in the new Undead World. There are no vacations or time-outs or do-overs. There's only the endless daily grind of living or the shockingly horrific fact of death that hangs over every living creature left on the face of the earth. For some, that death lies in a single mistake or a moment of bad luck, or simply in fate. For others, that hard death hounds them day and night, relentlessly.

What did you like best about this story?
This story while having many characters, including some old familiar ones managed to keep track of them. The story was well done, character development was excellent, and there were plenty of twists and turns in the story. It was so much better than the 1st.
Who was the most memorable character of The Apocalypse Outcasts and why?
Very close call, Sarah was very important, the Captain was very important, and of course Jilly Bean was a major player.
Any additional comments?
I cannot wait to read the next installment. This book was head and shoulders above the 1st.

Job Well Done
Revisado: 01-19-16
Where does Rogers Hornsby rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is up there for sports biographies. I learned a lot about Hornsby and was amazed to find out he was a total jerk.
What other book might you compare Rogers Hornsby to and why?
This is comparable to other well written books about Walter Johnson, Ty Cobb, or Honus Wagner.
Which character – as performed by Ian Esmo – was your favorite?
I thought the narrator did a great job being Hornsby.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, but was unable to.
Any additional comments?
Not sure why some people scorched this book in their reviews. It was a solid job.

Amazing
Revisado: 12-29-15
If you could sum up The First Star in three words, what would they be?
Hard to believe.
What other book might you compare The First Star to and why?
Fifty-Nine in 84. What they had Grange do was as insane as what happened in that book.
Which scene was your favorite?
Overall the barnstorming tour was incredible. I am amazed any of the Bears survived the tour. 3 games in 3 days? Really? 18 games in 10 days? None of this would have been allowed today. The players on the other teams that punched him and hurt him were pretty stupid. They were too dumb to realize that his success would help them in the long run.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I broke it up. It was well written but was too depressing at times when you realize the stupidity and greed of those involved. Grange made money, sure, but the promoters and Hallas really played him.
