These stories are a fun listen. myThe main characters are likeable, especially Rex the dog, whose head we get to peak into.
Revisado: 05-09-24
I like that there is a storyline that runs through all the books to keep the reader interested. Occasionally the narrator confuses who is speaking.

Good Story and Narration
Revisado: 04-02-22
This was fun to listen to and I enjoyed the multiple storylines. This one did not have as much language and sexual content as some other Colgan novels, perhaps because it is intended to appeal to YA readers. That is fine with me. I wish the rest of the story was available now.

Historia
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.

I read all the books and saw all the movies as they were released. Listening to Jim Dale's performance of this series brought the stories to life in a way that greatly enhanced my appreciation for JK Rowling's talent.
