Mentally Ill

How in the world did this book get such high ratings? Does no one else understand that hearing and seeing people that aren’t there is mental illness? Is it because he saw angels is what made it healthy? This poor guy said he would be in supermarkets hearing voices and would tell people about the angels speaking to him... how was this man not placed in an institution? I couldn’t get past ten minutes because the entire first ten minutes was him ranting about his hallucinations that no one else is special enough to receive. Wow. I’m concerned about the listeners who didn’t see it, too.

I love this series

The narrator.....

The content was important to me, so I made myself get past the very snarky and annoying narrator. I’ve listened to numerous audible books, and I never knock the narrator, but wow, this narrator did a huge disservice to this valuable book. All I could hear was how condescending the narrator sounded. Please consider reproducing these books with a different narrator that isn’t so nasally and arrogant.

Took a while to get to the tips

This book was worth reading - it motivated me to love myself, so the goal was met, but her personal story dragged out too long - I would have preferred more tips in a more organized fashion in the beginning of the book.
